Trump has been funding Israel’s genocide in Gaza, and Tim Cook decides to reward Trump with a gold gift. Imagine the head of an American company in the 1940s during the Holocaust rewarding Hitler with a gold gift. History would not look back on that favorably. Cook is morally bankrupt.
There is NO GENOCIDE in Gaza no matter how many times you parrot Hamas

Another possibility is that Apple moves more to a razor blade model, where the refills are Apple services and extended warranties.

The fact that iPhones cost as much as MacBooks is crazy. Have been for years, but still, crazy.
Is it really that crazy? What is an iPhone but a computer with cellular connectivity and components carefully miniaturized to fit in your pocket.

What i've always found crazy is that the ipad is cheaper than the iphone.

E.g. down here, a pro max is $2150AUD; yet a ipad pro 11" with cellular is $2050AUD.

What's an ipad but a iphone with larger screen, more battery and more powerful processor?
The ipad doesn't make calls that's about it; and that's more of a software limitation than a hardware limitation since the cellular models also have the modems and jail broken ipads can be modified to make calls.

I remember when the first ipad rumours surfaced, and i thoguht for sure it'd be more expensive than the iphone at the time; yet when released it was somehow cheaper.

I think the key difference is that the iPhone is more demanding of components to be pocket sized. That had impact upon cost, with respect to quality control, and upon price as the markets/consumers differ. Also, I suspect that the iPhone prices are high at launch for market demand reasons and that the iPad price is less sensitive to the FOMO factor.

Just a punt at an explanation; I might be wrong of course ;).
