Well I sure do, sorry!!

I guarantee it's the kind of screen used despite the buzz floating around the net that it's some super secret color warmth setting imposed by apple in different build numbers.

I completely think this is a valid reason! I do laptops and get repair requests all the time for slightly off kilter screens. A company is selling a specific product, and if the parts change without us knowing consumers reserve the right to be compensated or request replacement. Hell some people that come in here PREFER the old crappy macbook screens as opposed to the amazing new one we can put in the for CHEAPER. That's their right.

From what the makers of the 3GS, they wanted a 'warmer' screen so it could b easier on the eyes.

I've found that every iPhone screen is slightly different. Some are warmer, some are cooler, some have muted colors, some have vivid colors, some are washed out, some are blurry, some are sharp. (I actually had 2 iPod touch 3rd gens and one had bright vivid color and the other one was slightly blurry in comparison with muted colors).

No 2 iPhone screens are consistently the same. I got lucky with my iPhone 3G and I got a screen that I am pleased with. Since my iPhone 3G, I've bought 4 first gen iPhones, 2 iPod touch's, 1 more iPhone 3G and an iPhone 3GS and I didn't like the screens on any of them (except for my original iPhone 3G... so that's what I still use).

Good luck getting a nice screen.
