iPhone 3G White v Black Comparison

I went white purely because at the time it was exclusive to Apple stores on release. Since reading about all the smudges etc on the black I am pleased but the stories about the cracks in the white are alarming. I keep mine in an 'incase' however which is black..

I was talking about my situation and the people I see. I am not fighting that there are MANY men who have white because they sell white and because white is like the original iPod and such but the people I encounter seem to have white if female, black if male. Just my observation with the people around me. Another thing... when I bought my iPhone, the At&t guy suggested the black because "white is a feminine color" so... at least that guy seems to be selling them basing color on gender.

No, it isn't. There's another thread here about this gender/color thing, and it's pretty clear that lots of men have a white iPhone.

Haven't you seen guys wearing pink or yellow golf shirts or dress shirts? Color has nothing to do with gender. It's what looks best to you.
