why is it you don't follow instrutions???

redsn0w has not been updated for 6.1.3 so you can't restore to it directly, you need to make redsn0w look at the 6.0 IPSW method while actually restoring to 6.1.3

so again:

DOWNLOAD 6.0 IPSW+6.1.3 IPSW
in redsn0w go to Extras/Select IPSW, select the 6.0 IPSW

now go to Extras/Even more/Restore and select the 6.1.3 IPSW

FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS

it says exploit failed or says it needs to be in recovery mode even though it asks me to go into DFU mode

Right seems like the sn02brreze custom installed, but now it says connect to intunes on setup then it reboots.

Edit it says connect to itunes, but before itunes finds it, it reboots, do i have to jailbreak or ?

Make the custom ipsw using sn0wbreeze. Once it's done, it'll ask you to follow instructions to put the device into pwned DFU mode. Once there, shift + click restore in iTunes and choose the custom ipsw sn0wbreeze made for you

It should restore to 6.1.3

I have done that mate, but when it boots up i set it up as follow, select language, english > select country, united kingdom > after that it says connect to itunes but one itunes can't find the device and after about 3-4 minutes it reboots.

Iphone 3GS Bricked

Connect it to TinyImbrella and see what information it gives, also try the 'just boot' in redsn0w

It does have to have a SIM installed

Tiny umbrella ;

Device Model: MC637B/A - INVALID
Installed firmware: blank
ECID: 755193611215
Serial: the same as before

Tried just boot but it is a no go just gets stuck on waiting for reboot.

Nope, restore to 4.1 in pwned-DFU

You keep confusing stuff.
All i read is you posting it doesn't work followed by an edit or posting that it succeeded anyway.

So back to basics, restore to 4.1 first
Then get the BB fixed.

Sn0wbreeze also has a "hacktivate" feature when you make the custom ipsw which should bypass the need for activation (but doesn't help unlock the device)

Sorry again TriJetHero it's just doing my head in and it is confusing trying to read this guide and another guide from another site ect.

restoring it now to 4.1 then will downgrade the baseband via redsn0w and see if that does it but i won't do the custom sn0wbreeze 6.1.3 until the baseband is fixed.

Cheers darrick, will do that then next time i customize the ipsw :)

Still no baseband after the downgrade, should i try upgrading the bb with a higher ipsw then downgrading ?

Restoring it to 4.1 does not change the BB, that is done seperately.

First connect to TU and see if it did downgrade to 4.1

Now try downgrading the BB in redsn0w or try reflashing the ipad BB.

Only select 1 item in redsn0w

You might need to reflash a couple of times, make sure you complete all the steps

ill try to reflash it a couple more times if not i give up i guess it is just fryed and i will be wasting my time and your time.
