Iphone 3GS now, or wait?

When I say 4G, I don't mean 4G network, I mean 4th Generation.

Iphone - 1G.
Iphone 3G - 2G
Iphone 3Gs - 3G
New Iphone - 4G.

The stats are still far too close.

I either want a white Iphone of an aluminium Iphone.

I too have a black Iphone. However I do not want to upgrade if aluminium or white 4G will be out within 6 months.

On the other hand, I could buy the phone on Pay & Go, and use my sim in the new iphone, but thats £440.

I can't believe so many people want to wait 6 months. When the next phone appears, it will sell out for a month, then people will say wait while they work out the bugs. You'll actually end up waiting 8 months.

Daughter has a 1st gen, and we can upgrade on the 23rd of December. I'm going to order a 3GS, they'll ship it over night, and she'll have it.

Gettin a USED iPhone 3GS on craigslist/eBay?

Hi,

What's the actual value of a used, unlocked iPhone 3GS 32GB White (in good condition)?

And what's the new price for a new one (that's unlocked)?

What about getting one on craigslist/eBay etc.?

Would it be worth than to upgrade than?
Where are iPhones cheaper - in Miami (South Beach) or New York City as I will be traveling between those two destinations a couple of times in the near future...

I have a well working cell phone but I'm thinking of getting one as a personal organizer/mini computer/game console but the majority of postings say to wait - gets me nervous
