iPhone 4.0, will it erase all my settings?

Thats cool, I just wish the jailbreak was supported with that. I would be all over it.

EDIT: This is only for Iphone 3gs and Ipod touch 3rd generation users. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Multitasking?

So can you actually "multitask" any apps right now with 4.0?

Or do you have to wait for apps like Pandora to release updates with the new API's?


And do you think they will release these updates during the DEV period?

It wont fully multitask just yet. Pandora just cuts out when you try.
 
Is the home screen able to go landscape now? And does the calculator have a new design? Becausenits icon looks different.
 
Arrrgh! Left my MBP at home today cause I was running late to work. Can't wait to get home. I was able to remote into it and download the OS though :)
 
Did anyone sign up for DEV today? And how long did it take to get the activation email?
 
I'm a dev, but a poor one (a grad student). I can only afford one iPhone. I am also trying to develop an app (but my PhD is too time consuming so it's taking a long time). Anyways, I was wondering if anybody knows whether we can revert from 4.0 back to 3.0 if we experience issues, or if we are stuck once we upgrade. I would like try 4.0 and maybe incorporate some of the new features into my app, but I also want to make phone calls and use my iPhone.

Does anybody know how usable 4.0 is right now?
 
I remember being able to downgrade from some incarnation of 3.0 beta to 2.x. I think I did that after the first 3.0 beta. Anyways, I guess I have to wait and see about this one.

i signed up for a dev account.. Havent gotten my confirmation email yet... been about an hour and a half..

Wifi Notworking

I Just Installed 4.0 On Top Of 3.1.3 On 3gs. No Data Lost Everything There. Only Issue For Some Reason Wifi Will Not Work. Tried Resetting Network Settings And Reset Router Still Same .."unable To Joing Network". My Router Is D-link Dgl 4500. :(
