it's the same film, but it's not cut as precisely.

Yea, the cut looks cheap. I emailed them twice asking to return the ones I ordered and get the Power Support ones instead but haven't received a reply in over a week.

Anybody able to give me a comparison to the Spigen crystal clear version? I love the feel and look of the spigen but the thing shows finger prints like nobody's business! Is the power support crystal the same or similar?

Exactly the same. I've had a crystal protector on my 3G, 4, and 4S. Exactly the same.

Power Support made a bad business move not being ready for the iPhone 5 launch. This delay made me look into Spigen protectors and won't be looking back.

As I recall since the first generation iPhone, Power Support never ready for any new device at launch day because they would wait to get a physical unit then start designing and producing. Unlike many other brand would take the risk and guess the design to do pre-production.

Yea, better that you ask for Power Support version !

You could define "same film" differently, such as Japanese made material but cut by other factories maybe here in the US or in other countries and who knows...

Crystal vs Anti-Glare

So I have a little time this morning before my business trip and decided to pull out the films to apply the Crystal AFP to my phone. First, let's compare the two films. I couldn't really figure out the best way to show it as side by side, you can barely tell the anti-glare is there. So I took a few with reflections. First with a a backdrop of light coming through the window and a second where the light was from the top and could be seen in both screen protectors. Kinda torn now of which to put on!

Well what I'm trying to say is since they didn't have anything ready launch day, I went ahead and explored with SGP products which I never would have done had they released their products launch day. Because of that, I realized that SGP made better products and thus will no longer be buying Power Support.

Totally agree. I had the PS for the 4 and 4s and was generally happy, except that on the 4s the PS didn't adhere correctly around the Home button. A tiny edge wouldn't lay flat. PS sent a replacement and it still didn't adhere completely but I lived with it because everything else was great.

I probably would have ordered PS again for the 5 but decided to try SPG since it was available first. Absolutely love it. Quality is top notch and couldn't be more pleased. I'll be going with SGP from now on.

The Apple Store in Irvine, CA has a good number of Power Support's anti-glare film sets in stock. Been using their anti-glare films on all of our iPads and iPhones over the years and haven't ever had the slightest of issues, so was happy to find that they're now readily available for the 5. Tossed it on and it's perfect.

Saw the PS 'HD anti glare' protector in an apple store today what I'm lokking for is the PS 'Clear' version. has anyone seen that yet in an Apple store??

You're never going to see this at an Apple store. They stopped carrying the clear version years ago. I've never heard a valid reason why.

Why does it have an extra hole? Apparently it's "necessary" to them for the black one.. but in all honesty it's not. It also makes for an empty, useless cut on the white iPhone :/

I'm getting a screen protector for my iPhone 5 as soon as I get it, but I was a little confused on the title of the post. Are there any screen protectors that also come with some type of power support like an external charger?

Assuming your serious; Power Support is the name of the company that manufactures accessories for Apple products.

Got one from Japan on Amazon from a 3rd-party.
Got my Prime free shipping, no sales tax, coming on Monday.

Paid $21.99 for it, I know a bit more. But, no tax, or shipping
and with gas in LA around $4.25 per gallon, it's cool.

Have always had great success with the PS anti-glare. Looking
forward to getting it.

Ironic, Im not detecting any premier logic in your post.

Looks like the screen protectors arrived early. Now available for purchase on the Power Support website (crystal and anti-glare).

can anyone post ebay links to sellers that have the non-branded OEM Power Support anti glare screen protectors for iphone 5?

Thanks in advance.

I bought the i5 Crystal film and after I put it on I noticed etched lines going all the way around the film inside of the edges of the film, very weird. I took it off as I thought perhaps that film was defective. Stuck the 2nd one on and same thing. I rubbed a bit with a microfiber cloth and after rubbing pretty hard the lines came off. Not optimal at all as the rubbing caused light scratches on the film.

I emailed Power Support and sent pics and they replied promptly and will be sending out another film set. Their customer service is A+. I've used their films before and never had a issue with quality. I'm a bit swayed by this experience and will consider Spigen films in the future as their iPad Mini UC film is perfect and is just as easy to apply as the Power Support films (static application).
