Completely agree with you there jrswizzle. Ios and iPhones aren't for everyone but I've always found they do everything I've needed easily and without any problems.

iTunes is something I couldn't imagine not having with android because it makes looking after all my iOS devices super simple. Only having to download app updates on one computer then sync all devices makes tons more sense then having to download the same app over and over on each device saves so much time and internet quota. Of course it's not for everyone but for me I wouldn't change to android unless they had a program that can do the same as iTunes.

You really do that? Update apps via iTunes? That's sad.

a better place
Well it been a few days back on Android with the S5 & it's been brilliant it's like being released from prison.

First & foremost i no longer need to keep checking my phone see if I've missed any messages or calls, because now i have a little flashing light that tell me.

Secondly all the apps i had on iOS i also have on Android, so I'm not missing out on anything there, if anything some apps are better like Whatsapp for example on Android.

Dropbox to upload a picture i now don't need to open the app like i did on iOS for it to upload it does it automatically.

Also i have 1080p screen & 2GB of ram, NFC & Bluetooth that i can do anything i like with, all for alot less that what the 6 Plus would cost me.

I can now also customize both my launcher & my screen, decided to use the 6 Plus wallpaper oh and iPhone tones just to rub it in Apple users at work. :)

The S5 is nice, but the poor multitasking/backgrounded apps performance (having to reload/refresh content in apps due to excessive memory usage) was a killer for me. Open 10 apps and you will see for yourself the issue having to refresh apps brought out of background ...

The Alpha despite having same 2gb seems to handle this much better than the S5. Hopefully Android L updated touchwiz will address this problem on the s5...

I don't really understand the point of this thread. You assume people care what phone you have and how you justify your choice. I don't think anyone really cares TBO people just like to defend their purchases. You like/love android great I can't wait to see it on tonights news, congratulations. I don't understand your need to bash one or the other. Most of us here know the differences between the two OS's.

Newsflash - Some people are iOS people and some are Android people. Use what you like. In the end, no one but you really gets to make that decision, even though the internet seems to make it seem like it's the complete opposite.
Also, don't be a d#ck about your choice. Again, no one really cares about your choice, until you try to make it seem like your choice is the right choice.

Exactly. I also don't understand the "rub it in" bit in his last post either. If people wanted the S5, they'd already get it. You don't need to justify your purchase or convince anybody.

He says that you purposely sets his ringtones to iPhone ringtones because he thinks other people where he works care. I mean would you want to work with this guy? I have never thought to use Android ringtones on my iPhone so people I work with would think I was using Android. I'm an adult I do adult things at work, its a real job like most here.

The iPhone 6 Plus already looks dated, compared to other same sized 5.5" screens.

LG G3...Apple iPhone 6 Plus...OnePlus One

I don't see this design aging well, if it's two more years before a redesign with the iPhone 7 in 2016.

those two other phones are ugly.

LOL at LG, i dont want to knock so hard on a korean company but LG phones sucked since 04.

and it looks super thick. that other black phone looks like a cheap chinese Mi phone.

No one is forcing you to respond to the OP. If you don't like/understand the point of the thread, then just ignore it.

Clearly you haven't used or even seen the G3.

What are you like the thread police now informing people which threads they can and cannot replay too?

I cringed when I read that. That was kind of cool when the App store first came out, back in 2008. But as time went on I certainly didn't want to rely on the one-and-only iTunes machine for updates.

I deleted all apps out of iTunes several years ago. It was rediculous to be told there were 100+ apps that needed updating when most weren't even installed on any iDevices and the rest were up to date on the iDevices themselves.

I may use an iPhone again, and I still use macs and an iPad. But I can say with certainty I won't ever be using iTunes for apps again.

That's just it. You DON'T have to use iTunes, if you don't want to. There might be some extreme cases where you may have to use it for one reason or another, but for the most part, iTunes is no longer needed for day to day activity with your iDevices.
People that complain about having to use it, either don't understand the ways to get files onto the device, are completely against the cloud, or haven't used an iDevice in years. Or, are simply trolling.

Did you actually read what was quoted and what the discussion was about? It doesn't sound like it. At all.

That said, it is nonsense to state iTunes is no longer needed. It has already been pointed out why.

And trolling? Good lord...

Really? I think I've synced my iPhone to iTunes maybe 3 times in the last few years. And yet, my phone still functions perfectly and I can still get things done.
Look, I understand. You feel "confined to a walled garden" or "limited by Apple". That's fine. Have fun with Android, Windows Phone, BlackBerry or whatever OS you choose. I'll enjoy iOS. And the world will keep spinning.

Perhaps you have trouble reading anything other than the last post. Please allow me to show you what was being discussed, before you go on even more in the wrong direction...

Sorry. I quoted you, but one of the original complaints was never having to use iTunes again. And my statement still stands. It's very rare nowadays, that you would have to use iTunes for anything.
But, whatever. The OP is back to Android, where he wanted to be in the first place. All is good with the world.

Not really rare. If you want load video files that you want view and then forget about them.

It is just ridiculous to do a slow and huge data waste 2 way cloud load.
