Has anyone replaced the battery in the 6 yourself and does it solve the problem? They won't admit to the iphone 6 having the same issue, but I HAVE the issue with 6 - that my wife uses and they won't fix.

Its not the same issue. Just because your iPhone 6 battery shuts off does not mean it has the same issue. The issue with the 6s is an actual hardware defect from the manufacturing of the battery. iPhone 6/6+ do not have this defect. Your issue is most likely related due to a failing or deleted battery.

My 6 Plus powered down with 60% this morning, it was very cold at the time. When I was able to plug it back in it started up with 62% showing.

I'm waiting for my battery replacement kit from iFixit to arrive, hopefully early this week.
