Design wise, both Note 5 and especially S6 Edge Plus are superior to iPhone 6 plus / 6S Plus.

The iPhone looks boring, pale and simply out dated in comparison.
Just look at the Gold Galaxy Edge Plus,it's amazing, the best looking phone I've ever seen, and compare it to the iPhone 6 Plus/s. Gold..the iPhone looks ugly with that pale matt finnish and those embarrasing white antenna bands.

so design wise,no comparrison S6 Edge Plus destroys iPhone 6s Plus.

The screen is also WAY better on Galaxy..camera is as good slighly better.

But then iOS is a better enviroment and OS in general, much smoother with much less problems..

Having owned a note 5 and returning it and now I have a 6s I can say the design feels nice on the note 5 when holding the curved back. That said, I think the hardware is great on the note 5, but coming from an iPhone I could feel the stuttering and lag of touchwiz.

If I'm putting 800+ down for a phone I don't want to see a single stutter and I don't want to have to install 3rd party apps to get it optimized (package disabler).

Reportedly there is zero stutter and lag with the S6 Edge Plus vs Note 5.
iOS is a smoother running platform for sure, but then I'd argue if I put 800+ down,I want something that impresses me,and after owning iphone 6, and seeing a stunning looking phone like the S6 Edge Plus (Gold specially),I really don't find anything interesting in iPhone 6 s series at all.

Yea but I'm just saying that the iPhone's hardware is not nearly as impressive as the notes (processor and ram) but the iPhone runs much smoother than the note 5 IMO.

Just think of what Samsung could do if they optimized their software with their already impressive hardware.

My T-Mobile Note 5 is crazy smooth, lag free, warp speed fast, with amazing battery life.

But I heavily tweaked mine, it is rooted, plus running a custom ROM, plus flashed a zip tool that deletes like 400 + internal files and debloats crapware on the phone.

My Note 5 is smoother running than my tweaked Nexus 6.

Note 5....no official release date in UK. Cant understand this. Poor marketing imho from the start. You have to explore other ways to get it e.g. amazon or eBay.

Regarding Apps, IPhone wins this hands down imho. All the major apps come to IOS first. The customisation of Android will appeal to a lot but I like the IOS format as appeals to my organisational system preference. Also, think IOShas better security overall. For example and correct me if I am wrong, but Android is only just getting ability to modify app access permissions, which has being an IOS feature for quite sometime. Android does however, have had features which IOS is only just adopting.

The IPhone 6S plus also is far quicker and has much better RAM management than the note 5. 3D touch is also a key feature and a potential game changer. Android I read somewhere has something similar where you press the screen and wait up to a few seconds for options menu, but this is clearly not satisfactory.

Where the Samsung Note 5 out performs iPhone 6s plus is its S pen and split screen/app ability. Something I would love for the iPhone 6S plus. Shame Apple pencil will only support the iPad Pro. I may not use it much but is nice to have a good quality stylus for drawing and doing a few other fiddly things. Not sure how practical split screen/app ability performs in real life on smartphones, however, think it is a good feature. Also think the samsung note 5 screen is ahead of the iPhone 6s plus.

Both are great smart devices and ultimately it depends on a number of factors what you should opt for and best fits your needs.

Totally agree with you that Samsung needs to better optimize their software.
The differences between IOS and Android really comes down to preferences. I have both the Note 5 and iPhone 6s Plus. Both are great phones. Both phones lack features and options that the other phone has tbh.

Bottom line, both the Note 5 and iPhone 6S Plus are the top phones for each OS. Either you prefer iOS or Android.

If you like iOS the 6S Plus is a beast, and a fantastic device, nice large screen, great battery life, the new 3D Touch thing, and beautiful design and high quality, can't go wrong with this one. The 6S Plus is the best of the best from Apple.

And the Note 5 for Android is the hardware spec king, with a jaw dropping beautiful display, great overall size for a 5.7" device, finally a high end build that equals Apple quality. And the S-Pen, and Multi-Window apps, plus the option to Theme the OS, and total customization make this an Android king. This IMO is the best ever Android phone to date.

The old Samsung S4 had a similar thing to 3D Touch where instead of touching the screen you just had to hold your finger over the point and it would bring up a small window and if you wanted to open it then you touch it. It also had other options as well.

My iPhone 6s is anything but smooth or fast, the first one I had replaced wasn't either.

Not selling the Note 5 in Europe is just plain stupid I think.

I do like the look of the Note 5. I am way to wrapped up in the Apple Eco System to even consider changing and also that I am incredibly lazy but I do like the look of the Note 5.

Also can't get one through a shop and actually hold one being in the UK.

The S6 edge also looks nic
