So I have a unique situation... ordered 7+ 128 Jet Black on the Apple App. Had delays with my account but when I finally got the order in it was 12:15 and received my email at 12:16am PST.
Original ship date was Oct 10-17.

I woke up this morning to an email saying shipped! Delivery for Sept 26.

Got my UPS text confirming shipment but quoting a delivery of Sept 23.

Got the app notification from Apple Store also confirming the shipment and Sept 23 delivery.

This is completely different than what I'm reading in this thread so far?!

Same here. Apple says 9/26 and UPS says 9/22 but it's still in China. I'm planning on 9/26 and if I get it sooner cool. If not, I'll live. I was already planning on not having it till next month anyways.

Has anyone seen this before? I was scheduled for delivery today via UPS (has been scheduled for 9/20 for a few days) and this morning I see that my phone made a stop in Korea???????

Lord or lord. My iPhone is seeing the world. Ordered 7+ JB 12:10 and its has just gone from Shanghai, to Alaska and over to Korea.

Logistics problems I presume.

Out of curiosity, is everyone who has received a shipping notice thus far (a) part of the Upgrade Program; and/or (b) ordered the morning of 9/9/16?

I ordered a 128GB iPhone 7 Plus in Silver well after the pre-order period and have an Oct. 11 - 17 date. Wondering if, like the first gen. watches, all of these orders will trickle in faster than stated.

I'm also seeing a lot of stores have stock early in the morning each day (with the exception of Jet Black), and wonder if it is worth just canceling my order and picking it up via walk-in.

mine arrived at incheon at 7:53 P.M. according to the arrival scan... hopefully 2 hours is enough for it to make it onto UPS99! though I am not getting a departure status update either at the moment.

Incheon airport site just updated saying it will take off at 10:30AM eastern time now. Delayed 35 minutes.
How does anyone even know the shipment is on that plane. Just speculation. It sat in China for 2 days. How do we know it's getting out of Korea any faster?

I'm in the apple upgrade program and mine sipped this morning. 128 JB plus

According to FlightAware, UPS 99 from Incheon to Anchorage is currently delayed.
It seems like it is since it still hasn't went anywhere, or at least hasn't been scanned.

Edit: Hopefully it is on the flight that just left and will be updated soon.

Because getting from Zhengzhou to Incheon they use the cargo hold of a passenger aircraft (not a UPS plane). That is obviously space limited and a B737 can't take cargo containers or pallets. Thus the shipments have to be in smaller bunches and are subject to space availability. That is why, I believe, they end up spending a day or two before heading out.

Incheon is a UPS hub and the aircraft out of there is a wide-body MD-11 cargo aircraft that takes cargo containers/pallets. Once the smaller bunches are unloaded in Incheon they are amalgamated and put into containers/pallets. Much quicker and easier.

I finally got out of China, and it's now showing it's in Seoul at ICN. Should have made UPS99 to ANC, but there isn't a departure scan for me either. Yuk.

You work for UPS? How would you know all that? And if so how certain are you about it being on that plane?

I highly recommend Flightradar24 on Mac or iOS. It utilizes a worldwide network of ADS-B receivers, both official and enthusiast, and is quicker and more wide ranging than what flight aware uses. It can occasionally show weird turns/climbs etc but given a couple minutes those average out to the generally correct path/info.

Used to work for UPS (not in flight ops tho) and in the airline biz and have a pretty good sense based on that. Can't guarantee 100% this is the way it is working but am 95% confident.

The only flights from ZhengZhou to Seoul are a passenger China Southern plane at the right time and a KoreanAir flight much later. Therefore the phones *have* to be on the China Southern flight, CSN6009. Departure and arrival scans match up very, very well with this flight.

Edited to correct from ADB to ADS-B...need moar coffee.

Damn. Mines in KY and just updated with some lame 'operating condition' delay. Pushed it back a day.

Oh well. My delivery date just got pushed back 1 day to 9/22. My phone must not have made the flight out of Incheon.

Just picked up mine from the hub! I guess i got lucky and got out on the flight before all the problems happened. I hope everyone gets theirs soon

People who were lucky and got theirs should leave the thread. Once mine comes I will quietly disappear from this thread rather than announce that I got it and just rub it in for those who didn't.
