If this is true, I feel kind of ripped off with my 7+. I wasn't told that the storage internals were different other than the capacity.

Did you notice a speed difference before reading this thread? If not, enjoy your phone.

And of course now that the jet blacks are just becoming available, I'm just outside the return window. Who knows, maybe I can use a jump on demand to switch over, I'll ask.

Anandtech reports that the speeds of the NAND are heavily influenced by free space due to the MLC/SLC setup. Can someone test this by filling up your 128GB until you have about 20GB left?

Where is this report? I don't see this in their published review

This can't be right. Already tried closing the app, restarting my phone, re-running the test. Any ideas?

Just ran mine using PerformanceTest Mobile. I have an iPhone 7 Plus 256 GB that was recently replaced by Apple.
