Their is a difference between both and is on the chipset side. Verizon version has a Qualacomm baseband that is compatible with CDMA and GSM networks including T-Mobile. The T-Mobile and At&T version uses an Intel one that do not support CDMA.

What this mean is that while both version are different and you can't use a Tmobile version on Verizon you can do it the other way around and use a Verizon one on T-Mobile.
This isn't completely accurate. You CAN use the GSM iPhone on Verizon... and it will work on LTE... but there will not be any 3G CDMA service available if you are in an area with no LTE coverage.

I cancelled my original order for the JB and ordered the plus 256 GB matte black yesterday. My shipping delivery window is 10-3 / 10-16. My card was charge immediately after signing the EIP agreement. Does T-Mobile charge immediately just to verify that the founds are available or only when they ship?

Thank you and have a good day.

Well if you ordered a JB+ 128GB you may have got bumped up a place in line. I was able to reserve a Verizon Matte Black+ 128GB at the Apple store and pick it up. Was on the fence about Jet Black and the trade-in deal anyways, so this sealed the deal.

Considering these planes landed Sunday morning, I wouldn't really expect too much action today. I know UPS is still processing, but who knows what's going on on T-Mobile's end. If the people with the matte 128GB 7+ and other models that haven't shipped yet don't get anything tomorrow, I'll start getting depressed.

Just stinks to order a phone in the first few hours pre-orders become available and have no clue when it's coming to your doorstep. I am not wasting my time with T-Mo reps. We know more than they do.
The first experience with T-Mobile is the worst I have seen in my last five iPhone pre order

Ok grain of salt time but...just got off the phone with the office of the president. I wrote a letter about an account issue last week and we had been playing phone tag.

While I was on the phone resolving my account issue I asked about my 9/19 - 9/26 7+ MB and 7+RG 128gb orders. She said good news it's looks like both are at the warehouse and you should see them move in the next 2 days. She said they were sitting in their new warehouse in Coppell Texas.

We shall see but I figure I would pass along the info.

lol, I assume everyone in here is only here because they are trading in an old iphone to get the new one at a deep discount with the 2 year EIP deal. Why would you order through t-mobile otherwise? I bought a few phones through them back in the day and it was the sketchiest process ever. Buying iPhones directly from Apple is a pleasure. lol.

If it weren't for saving $400 I would go through Apple and forget about this mess. In store pickup with a verizon phone 7 plus 32gb. The nearest Apple store has them in stock!

That's why I'm here. An Apple store near me has the exact phone I want, but I have to wait to go through T-Mobile to get it free :'(

I am trying to save some money by just slowly paying it off.
Even if they don't take my old iphone 5, I would still consider it a good deal for that reason.
When I preordered with Apple to get the 6+ I didn't get it until like a week or so after it was released, don't remember the exact details, but I wouldn't consider this a nightmare order or anything.

Buying directly from Apple means paying full price, going through TMobile means paying $30 a month. I can't afford to buy a $900+ phone outright. And going through Apple's upgrade program sounds like a worse experience than this one, based on reports of the past few days.

My estimate is those who ordered the 7 plus 128gb/256gb in matte black with dates 9/19-9/26 or 9/26-10/10 will be getting theirs shipped pretty closely together starting around Wednesday this week.
