So I'm gonna be probably hanging around here even after my phone comes in (supposedly tomorrow) and keep you up to date with the findings of all the "gates."

I know from looking at a demo phone in Best Buy the Matte Black finish is ridiculously stealthy and looks gorgeous. The antenna bends melt into the aluminum and it looks like just one piece. Very nice device!

I was charged, no update from tmobile or ups. Ya know, Amazon seems perfectly capable of handling massive numbers of orders/shipments on a daily basis. I'm constantly aware of what's going on with my amazon orders, I'm surprised tmobile and apple haven't figured out how they do it yet.

Amazon handles all stages of the order process themselves, except for shipping. The products that we order through Prime are already in their warehouse and there's no dependency on 3rd party. In pre-order case, there are at least 3 parties involved. So more friction. Besides, T-Mobile uses state of the art systems - one reason why we can't order online through Apple for T-Mobile.

I've been charged for my 7+ 128GB Matte Black and no change from "Processing" still. I thought once you're charged it ships the same day. I guess the wait continues.. Thought I'd be getting it tomorrow. Ugh.

Amazon's supply chain and logistics are amazing tho... I doubt any other retailers could reach that level.

Online retail and logistics IS Amazon's primary business, so naturally they are good at it. Just like selling ads is Google's primary business. But logistic and supply chain are different things. Amazon doesn't have to deal with supply chain issues as much because they don't make any high volume products.

Just checked ups my choice and I am showing delivery as end of day tomorrow!!! Ordered 9/9 at 12:42pm original delivery window of 9/27 - 10/10
