I recently set up my new iPhone 7 Plus and synced it through my computer. When it got to the music portion, it synced my playlists, but it didn't download any of the songs. I had to manually click the cloud button on my phone to download them.

I've noticed that about 70% of my music (most of my older music, pre-Apple Music) was changed to either a clean version of a song, or a different version of a song (remix, different album, etc.).

Luckily my iTunes library on my computer is still fine, but I'm wondering how to sync my phone so it has the same version as on my computer (the correct version)?

Has anyone else had this problem, or does anyone know how to fix this?

Thanks!

Having tons of problems getting my music back from the iCloud since I started using it.
Ongoing problem for 2 years now. Still no answers from Apple.

I download my music to my iPhone 7 (or any of my previous phones from the past 2 years) and within 48 hours most of it has vanished.
