I feel lucky something similar didn't happen to me. I had updated my CC used by default for Apple Store payments literally 1 minute before it went down the evening before. But, when I went to place my order it still used the old one (my change must not have saved in time), so I did a mad scramble in the middle of the night to get my wallet, update the payment method again and then put the order through one more time. So relieved I wasn't bumped by the time it got through!
I was thinking the same thing..I thought about going 128 for a split second during my preorder but I figured 'meh, I never go over 16gb anyway, and i'll probably get it on launch for sure'.
Jokes on me
Since only 5% of preorders were for the 7+ 32 GB you'd think they would be able to ship that small quantity out before 9/28.
My thoughts exactly and since apple didn't know this was going to be the case(low popularity), i would have thought they'd had more of these available.

That wouldn't surprise me. It's hard to believe they can't product enough to fill the little orders there are for the 32GB model.

Nope. I'm being patient and hoping that my shipping date changes. Still have a 6S+ though in the meantime.

So I woke up at 2:45 and preordered at 3:15, 8 hours before you and we both have the same ship date. That just goes to prove that Apple just did not give two sh!ts about the 7+ 32GB.
I ordered an iPhone 7+ 32GB silver on the first day it was available for preorder at 8 AM with T-Mobile. Originally it said it would be developed on 9/28 but it's out for delivery today. I definitely was not expecting that!
Thats one thing i've noticed, it seems like T-Mobile phones are shipping. Either they had a hell of a less preorders (more likely), or got allocated alot more stock
