Play Proof came in tonight. Very impressed with initial impressions. Thinness is just slightly more than my current favorite of the Spigen Liquid Armor. The individual speaker hole cutouts make a huge difference when I hold it one handed. Amazed by a 11 foot drop rating in this package. After all the previous reviews bashing how slippery it was, pleasantly surprised by the texture. While not fabulous, not nearly as bad as I was expecting.
Only way I could improve the product would be to add exact camera and flash cutouts, and give it just a slight texture.
Was pretty set on just returning this when it came in due to how much I like the Liquid Armor, but the fit and drop rating may have changed my mind.
Works great with E2E Screen Protectors whereas the Spigen is hit or miss.
Will try and get pictures tomorrow.

I guess you got the playproof for your iPhone 7 plus?! Because the Playproof for iPhone 7 non plus is still not released..

Hows the lip with a screen protector? High enough to still not touch the surface when laid face down?

Got in the PlayProof also and mine has a slight bent to it before putting the phone into it.

Is everyone else's like this?

Very slight top to bottom. Doesn't bother me. Initial thoughts on the case?

Very thin, 11 foot drop protection, I'm not too sure about. Have not even tried the phone in it yet.
I'll try the phone in it when I get home and let you know.

The PlayProof case is nothing more then a cheap overpriced plastic case. I believe that I will return it and stick with the Symmetry for now. I have over 10 cases and the Playproof just feels like the cheapest, cheesiest one of them all. Just what I think.

So I got 4 Playproof cases today in the mail: 2x navy blue, baby blue and pink. Interesting enough, the Baby Blue has noticeably more texture/grip than navy blue and pink. The navy blue and pink felt exactly the same as the Playproof for the iPhone 6s, which is disappointing. I guess Evolution Labs did some tweaks to baby blue since it's a new color? On a positive note, the fit is just as good as ever and the case is A LOT easier to take off.

Great to hear that the powder blue cases seem grippier. I noticed that the custom PlayProof cases are available now, and they have a $10 off coupon for Black Friday, bringing them down to $19.99...

If only they had a Cubs one....

They're both good, but I like the Sheath better. It looks sleeker and feels better. Mine's not slippery in the least.

awesome thanks

does it feel more protective with drops than liquid armor would be, or about the same?

also would you say liquid armor is slippery? have you had a presidio grip at any point? thats a bigger case but 10ft drop rated and great grip,

about the same. it's really not all that different than the liquid armor. i just prefer the look and feel of the sheath better over the pattern on the liquid armor. and the sheath is a little thinner which i like. i'm not really a big drop protection guy.

i'd never buy a presidio grip. just too big. i tried one at best buy once and couldn't wait to get it off my phone.

gotcha thanks again!

being really similar to liquid armor, i may hold off on a sheath purchase in that case,

I'm still very happy with the Sheath. Don't have either the Liquid Armor or Presidio (and agree that the Presidio is too much bulk). The Sheath is a nice mix of good looks and super lightweight-ness, while being protective enough. I'm a little surprised at the comments about it being slippery. It's got a nice fine sandpaper-ish texture to it that is anything but slippery.

It felt slippery when my hands were dry. Especially during cold weather.

Cheap? The thing is bullet proof, cheap is the last word I'd use to describe it...

Got the powder blue Playproof case last week. It's too slippery to be practical... Especially at this time of the year in Canada where hands are dry. The case has no grip.
