Any iPhone 7s rumors?

This year seems to be too focused on iPhone 8 (Edition) rumors, but everyone talks about 3 phones this year. Which upgrades can we expect to the 7s line?

We are reading possible delays in production, not knowing about the future of Touch ID, so the revenue will definitely come from 7s....

Rumors are almost always based on aesthetics. This typically means that in (S) cycles there are far fewer rumors because the physical attributes are largely unchanged.

More excitement over the iPhone Edition and I think that's where most of Apple's engineering efforts are going too. I think the 7s will be the most underwhelming S cycle iPhone yet and will probably just be the 7 with an A11 (and whatever performance improvements come with that) and maybe a new color option (polished white?)

Gotta be in it to win it

I think the 7s will knock it out of the park. But underwhelming or exciting is still opinion.

A11, wireless charging, improved cameras.

The "S" cycles have always been boring and the sales numbers support that.

All the hype and excitement is centered around the iPhone 8/iPhone Edition. Hell I work with phones all day and and most don't give a damn about the 7S. Everybody is looking forward to the newly designed iPhone 8/Edition. At this point the 7S will be a little bit faster with a slightly better camera and maybe a new color? Kinda crazy tho that the 7S will most likely still rock a 750p display in 2017, with the same huge bezels from 2010 and design that's 4 years old. And speaking of screen resolutions, I do wonder what apple is gonna go with for the i8

To be fair, it's more like 2012 bezels since the 2010 bezels from the iPhone 4 were even bigger than the iPhone 5's.

I'm generally more of an S cycle guy myself as I tend to value performance over design, and since Apple should get to take advantage of a new chip manufacturing process (10 nm) I'm sure the A11 (Fusion??) will be a hell of a performer, likely while being more power efficient at the same time. I just have a gut feeling, with Apple not having a good track record for being to focus on more than one thing at a time, that all their energy will go into this 3rd OLED iPhone with the 7s/plus feeling more like an afterthought... If they can bring solid performance and battery life improvements along with everything the 7 already has the 7s will likely be my next phone, but we'll see what the fall brings...

7s will just be an outdated device. the iPhone edition or 8 will be the one people will be waiting for.

Perhaps, but outdated how? The 7's phone is still on par with top tier flagships in regards to camera, battery life, and memory, and it's processing power is still virtually untouched by competitors.

Please don't be another complaint about OS or aesthetics.

I'm talking design mainly. It's really so much wasted display on this thing compared to android flagships.

Performance wise yes it's unmatched

To me, that's so subjective though. Some folks are definitely tired of the iPhone 6 design. However, it doesn't bother me, and I'm not a big proponent of change for change's sake.

At the risk of derailing, which would you personally rather have, current bezels with TouchID on the front, or smaller bezels with rear TouchID? Because it's looking more and more like these are the two options.

well yes everybody is different but when you look at other flagship phones where they get the most out of the size. When holding the S8 plus considering it's a 6.2 inch screen it's basically the same size as my 7 plus in length which is shocking really.

if i had to choice i would much rather have smaller to no bezels with touch ID on the back. however that would only really work properly if we had iris scanning available. As that would allow me not to need to pick my phone up each time. As that kind of feature i think people would really use and enjoy certainly when on your desk or when you wake up in the morning.

Indeed people are different. Despite being a designer I no longer care about having the latest iPhone or what it looks like. Price is very much my motivation from now on so my excitement will be based on the mark down price of the previous iPhone.
