Sounds like global warming will render our expensive toys into expensive paperweights or doorstops.

Global warming only needs a few degrees to kick off all different kinds of fun before the heat will become an issue I’m afraid.

Turnpike's advice to go to Display Accomodations and turn off auto brightness fixed the issue! Thank you very much!
None of my iPhones ever overheated or even got warm to the touch with the display set to maximum brightness, probably because I don't do intensive tasks like video editing and rendering.
