When I turn on the phone, the screen seems to flicker quickly.

This happens on the boot up screen. So, the screen is black with the white apple in the middle. The screen jitters a bit and a grayish line quickly jumps across the bottom of the screen while the phone is booting up.

Seems to work fine after boot up.

Anyone else seeing this happen?

I swapped out my phone once from the 64GB version to the 256GB version and both models do this.

I haven’t had this issue yet. Of course I’m on a 8 Plus that I’m holding onto until October 4th or November 3rd haven’t figured it out yet ...

Its due to ios 11, a lot of iphones on ios 11 do that
I figured when my second phone did it that it was software based...

What confused me was that I powered down a few of the phones at the Apple store and none of them had the issue.

Just gonna have to wait for the iOS update! :)

My new 7 just flickered on this site while holding a scroll. 11 maybe.

I have an SG 8+, I didn’t notice this behavior. I will try it again and report back.

EDIT: Rebooted it 3 times. No flicker.

Thanks for the responses. Not sure if it matters, but my phone is the Verizon version. Strange that some phones do it and others don't.

Here is a photo of what I see flash quickly across the boot up screen on my phone. When I say quick, I mean super quick...

My 7Plus and Air 2 started doing this after iOS 11 GM. Seems more of an iOS issue, not device issue. So my 7Plus, Air 2 and 8Plus all do it.

Yeah, I figured after two new 8 Plus phones did it, it must be software. But found it interesting that none of the Apple store demo models did it. I really like the phone, but there are also not a lot of people seeing what I'm seeing apparently. Makes me wonder a little. Maybe specific to carrier model? Etc?

My Air 2 is WiFi. So definitely not carrier related. It’s juat a software issue. Even my iMac does it when booting up 10.12.6.

Well, I've not seen this on any of my devices thus far. I have the space gray iPhone 8 Plus, iPad Pro 10.5, and iPod 6th Gen and nada. In the family we also have iPad 9.7, iPhone 6s Plus and all of them are updated to iOS11 and none have this issue. In fact we've not experienced any issues. I have read where many had battery drain issues and I've certainly not experienced that.
