Same is with me, it’s 8 plus 64 space grey. I just noticed the screen flickers during boot with apple logo then disappears and apple booting twice and after turning on the device it works fine. Please help
When I turn on the phone, the screen seems to flicker quickly.

This happens on the boot up screen. So, the screen is black with the white apple in the middle. The screen jitters a bit and a grayish line quickly jumps across the bottom of the screen while the phone is booting up.

Seems to work fine after boot up.

Anyone else seeing this happen?

I swapped out my phone once from the 64GB version to the 256GB version and both models do this.

Thanks for the responses. Not sure if it matters, but my phone is the Verizon version. Strange that some phones do it and others don't.

Verizon iPhone 8 Plus here and mine does the same thing. Also does another weird thing when booting up, the Apple logo will come on like it should, then it will go away and then come back a second time and then go into the pass code screen.

Odd that the apple logo is coming on twice during the boot up process each time.

Does the exact thing on mine.

Although I am not able to find a single video on youtube thats shows it. It doesnt flicker on the dozen videos I've watched so far.

at around 28 sec mark the apple logo vanishes and there is a thin white line glitch right under it. Its only 11.1 :/

[doublepost=1510848181][/doublepost]ok guys i bought my first iphone 8 plus at a verizon corporate store, had the gray lines on boot up along with one blink. called apple, they ran a test an found nothing wrong. they classified it as damage phone, i put 800 bucks down on a hold then they sent me another phone got the phone an that one also did it . i called apple an a manager made an opointment at the apple store for me. they had these very bright white lights in the store along with white walls an a ton of customers in it. none of us can see the white lines because of it being so bright i was extremely pissed off at this point i demanded another phone they went an called apple care to see my history with this problem, it took an half hour, they came out with a new phone again, we cold not see any lines. went home mind you, it took me an hour to go there an back, came home open the door an turn the phone on only to see the white/grey line an the apple logo blink, i thought it was the sim card but its not. three differnt iphone 8 plus phones from three differnt apple providers. i finally relised its ios 11 this really bothers me all that time invested trying to fix it . i want the preimium experience from my $800 phone. i hope they help us.

So this not a phone issue my phone acting the same

iOS 11.2 fixed this issue.
ios 11.2 DID NOT FIX IT! im looking at 3 new phones doing it still ,now i get 1 apple logo with this random grey line instead of the apple logo blinking. the lines are still there. you need to turn your phone on an off a few times. coworkers phone also does it still, all space grey phones are doing it still.

Well that’s strange because 11.2 did fixed the issue for me and also made booting the device much faster.

Check EverythingApplePro on YouTube, he is a trusted source for Apple news and he clearly showed in his iOS 11.2 Review video that the issue is now fixed.

yes the blinking is gone i know that but the strange grey lines still appear at random the bug is still there

Its completely fixed for me. Just restarted and verified.
well my wifes an 3 sons an mine are still bringing up a random gray line on boot up over the top in the middle an below the apple logo, we all have space gray witch has the black screen with the white apple . like i said, boot up your phone a few times its there. they did not fix the random white line running threw the screen on boot.

Then why not just let it be? Its clearly not just your phone. So its really not an issue with the phone but just a software glitch.

well were just trying to figure out if it was software or hardware, ''let it be'' well i wanted to know since other people here are trying to find out.an it can be a hardware issue with the software, its possible it will never be fixed, an if i seen this before i bought this iphone 8 plus i would of purchased something else.

Its due to ios 11, a lot of iphones on ios 11 do that
[doublepost=1513631109][/doublepost]Hello Maam,

Even my iPhone 8 doing the same thing so it’s not a phone issue ?
I tried to inform the same to apple but they didn’t have any correct answer for it.

I bought it last wednesday. I don’t have a photo, but it flickers the grayish line on boot up screen
Like this?

Yes. Exactly like this.
Many holders of the 8 and 8 Plus iPhone have this problem and only appear on the Apple logo page and disappear quickly.
And it does not negatively impact the menu and function of mobile
It is not clear why this is happening and this is the case since the time of making this mobile up to today, which is about a year
I also have 8 red and I purchased it in April, and from the beginning I had this problem
Even my friends have this problem
