My air came today at 10:30 AM and at 81% and I began transferring from my old 16 pro max to the air. I messed up and had to start a second time. It's now 23:21 and the air is at 57%. Ive been using it all day more than I usually use a phone and id say the battery is really good for having such a small battery.

Feels amazing to hold, very comfortable, no pinky or hand discomfort at all. Recent comments are right, you have to try it to believe it.

Shiny titanium sides are great, makes it look very luxurious. Sky Blue color seems muted but it shows in certain lighting. Really wanted the black but did not want to deal with the fingerprints and oils.

Played some YouTube as well as tested out some songs and had a call with speaker mode on, it’s nice and clear. Doesn’t sound tinny or bad at all. The hate for the speaker seems overdone imo.

Snappy performance so far. Battery life TBD. Gorgeous phone!

Well you will not be disappointed. It’s absolutely a different vibe and so far has me very excited for phone tech again, and leading into the next year with the rumored foldable. I still have a 17 Pro set up and on standby in case I decide I can’t live without extra lenses and a beefier battery but so far I don’t even want to pick it up haha.
I know what you mean. Once I had transferred all my stuff and was setting up the Air, I picked up my 15 Pro an hour later and it honestly felt like old tech.

I can’t even imagine what the series 17 Pro’s with even bigger displays and heavier and thicker would be in comparison to the Air. Next level difference.

The feeling you have every time you pick up the Air is like no other as you know yourself and all the Air owners…

People that don’t upgrade phones every year are used to making feature compromises every time they skip a generation. So the Air is just more of that, except in an exclusive screen size, weight and premium materials.

For people that upgrade every year, this probably isn’t the right choice. It is unfortunate the Pro took an L on premium materials though. Probably why they’re so salty.
I’ve not seen one in the flesh yet but I disagree with you here. People who don’t upgrade are sticking with what they have, because they feel it meets their needs. What they aren’t doing is spending additional money on compromises. Whereas with the Air, they would be spending money - but we shouldn’t focus only on the compromises because in truth the Air is offering a form factor that no other iPhone offers, and that’s what they’re buying. This thread has made it very clear that lots of people bought phones with features they don’t use, and the Air meets their requirements.

The air has the annoying color shift. When you tilt it down the color shifts to green or blue.

Which color did you go with?

I think maybe I'll eventually pick up a pro max as well. I'll just forgo the next 100 meals at McDonalds or whatever and get a 2nd iPhone instead. :p

Am I the only one that wasn't the biggest fan of the texture on the back ? That like matte plastidip type texture (way nicer then plastidip just trying explain the texture)

I’m assuming they went this route to fight finger prints since the sides and font are finger print magnets ?

Man I loved the feel of the air in hand , I’d consider running that naked.

I just feel like Apple will fix some of the short comings with the Air 2, my 15p can wait , wasn’t enough to make me switch so fast with the few compromises

this is how I’ve been feeling with my 16 Pro but I must admit I’m feeling very tempted now.

So I’m not the only one who thought maybe they put a white Air in the Sky Blue box by mistake? Haha!!

Loving it so far and all I’m doing right now is transferring over from my 16PM.

I’ve been a Max iPhone guy since XS Max. 11-16. So glad to step away from that this year!! Big screen and oh-so-light.

In store the blue , white and gold looked so similar that I’m surprised they even launched them all, blue and gold are so muted compared to the white. Why not at least make the blue more blue ?

Love it, disappointed by the blue being white. Got a 256 gb very comfortable and extremely light. Speaker is great, seems louder and fuller then my 14 Pro Max's speakers

Love my Air. I got it in Sky Blue. During setup (downloading my backup and everything) it didn’t get nearly as warm as my Pro 15 would in a similar situation. More than anything the device feels so much better in my pocket. It’s gonna take me a while to get used to the single speaker when watching videos in landscape, but most of the time I only watch reels on my phone anyway, so it’s not too bad.

Btw I noticed that I had to crank the screen brightness slider way higher than on any of my previous iPhones. I wonder if it’s the same for you guys? I’m guessing they’ve tweaked the scale a bit for the 17 series? Not sure.

I saw the Air models at the store today, and I could barely tell the difference between blue, white, and light gold. They all looked extremely pale, and very similar to white. Side-by-side I could see the differences, but it's very muted. At least in the bright lighting of the Apple Store.

Its even worse outside of the store lol, my parents kept telling me that phone is white, and I am like I agree even though its blue lol.

I went Sky Blue. I mean White. I mean Sky Blue. Seriously, it looks white when not next to actually white things.
When I was holding the white in store someone was looking at the blue one and was asking where the blue one was and I was like you are holding it and put the white one i was holding beside it and he was like wtf is this , it’s barely blue haha

It’s the same with the current MBAs. Very bizarre, but evidently they’ve given the phones parity with the laptops. Who knows why they didn’t make them like the iMac colours though.

I checked out the air today. I did like it. Felt very good in the hand, and I like the screen size.

However i didnt think the form factor was impressive enough to warrant the trade offs and reduced battery life. In other words it was a nice form factor but it didnt wow me. I made the right choice going with the 17 Pro.

I have the blue and I think id be happier with the white. it matches more stuff
I decided to keep the white and sending the blue back. I ordered a few cases one being the Apple in Frosted. I don't like the MagSafe on the back and there's no protection against dust on the bottom. I ordered a Totally Scarf Thinnest Cover Ultra Slim off Amazon. Clear and no logos. Being delivered tomorrow. I like minimalism.
