I am going to get a Pixel this year, either a 5A or a 6, and I’ll be keeping my 12 Pro Max as a secondary device.

I switched from Android back in 2017 but I have two Android TV devices and multiple Fire devices, both tablets and sticks, so I never really fully jumped into the Apple ecosystem.

Best of both worlds and a potential exit from iOS if the privacy stuff gets any worse since I can flash Lineage on the Pixel (although it remains to be seen with that custom SoC if custom ROMs will be a thing so I’m really looking at the 5A). It will be nice to not have to deal with the sideloading limitations, that’s for sure. Always been something that irked me with iOS.

Not sure what model phone you have but ever thought about Google Fi?
I’ve got iPhone and Samsung. I would love to try Google Fi but my husband wants AT&T only. At least for now. He’s been trying to reduce the number of services we are signed to and definitely doesn’t want to leave AT&T for another carrier because every time we’ve had a horrible customer service issue, and there have been several, we’ve got deals on our bills. I’m not sure what we’re paying currently but it’s pretty low for a large family plan with unlimited everything.

Well, I take a different approach and use my Android phone with an iPad.

In essence... I get mostly the same iPhone perks using an iPad, it's a cellular iPad. That way I get iMessage and everything included with Apple ecosystem on the go. The only negative is that I don't get the Apple Watch.
That describes me. I started off on an iPod Touch 3. When it was time to get a smartphone, I figured an iPhone would be "more of the same thing" (albeit, there were many notable iPhone only features not in the iPod Touch, such as vibration). I also really wanted to try out Android, so a Samsung Galaxy s2 for me it was! Then I got an iPod Touch 5 (five), and then an Ipad Air (1st gen, 2013 model). They're both a bit long in the tooth. I may decide to just get a 128 GB 8th gen iPad to get back in the iOS game.

I've been using both Android and iOS for years. I have my cellular apple watch paired with my phone so when using my android phone I get all of my imessages on the watch.
