Hello all,

Help! I have done a back up, then restore which also downloaded the latest iOS version for my iPhone 13 Pro and when it comes to restoring the device - connecting the iPhone to my Mac with iTunes I don't know what the password is or how I can reset it? Is it different from my Apple password?

Try your phone passcode. If that doesn’t work, try your Mac passcode. If it isn’t one of those, that means you picked a totally different password when making the backup.
I have tried my phone passcode (is that the code I used to unlock my phone screen?) My pMac passcode (same as when I authorise a new install?).

now i see it

The password you choose to make your first encrypted backup can be anything you think up. If you didn’t jot it down and it’s not your commonly used passwords - you can’t get in.
