Just curious, how is the iPhone 5 disappointing?

I had an iPhone 5 for three weeks, sold it and now switch between a Nexus 4 and Lumia 920. I had been a hardcore iPhone user for 14 months.

*The dimensions/weight of the phone are awkward and fragile. As I've mentioned numerous times, mine bent, that was why I ultimately got rid of it.

*The major upgrade-the addition of an LTE radio, had been standard on other devices for years.

iPhone was the undisputed champ for a long time, but now its just another phone trying to keep up with the joneses. Google Now has overshadowed Siri, 5 inch 1080p displays are slowly becoming an industry standard.

Hmm, I wonder how you use your phone, but I dropped mine a few times on hard surfaces, no bending. Anyways, I actually find the iPhone 5 to be a very satisfactory product.

I don't see how much benefit 1080p screens are, because the iPhone has a display with a resolution specifically to exceed the resolving power of your eye. It'll just be at the point of diminishing returns.

Anyways, people have their own opinion. I like the iPhone 5 and I personally prefer it to phones like the S3. And I still find that Google now answers a narrower range of questions, in a less natural manner, which leads me to believe that Siri is still bette. I won't hop onto that bandwagon, because these are my personal experiences.

are macbook pros, iMacs, mba's ageing badly? It has the closest aesthetics to Apples hardware I've seen of a third party device.

Those are completely different devices. Not one of them is even remotely close to a smart phone.

However I'm not saying for certain the HTC one will age poorly. Just that I wouldn't be surprised if it did.
