I'm guessing this is an April Fools joke.... but it's still March 31st!
UPDATE: Engadget and TUAW claim it is a joke.

Not sure about the timing of the OP's release, but AFAIK an April Fool's joke can be anytime on the 1st (from 1 minute after midnight March 31st, to 2400 on the 1st).

Here locally, it is 0836 on April 1st. So it is just a simple April Fool's joke.
 
Not April's fools over here yet (or many parts of the Western Hemisphere). However I do think that it's a joke. However it seems strange that Engadget got fooled (or maybe they are part of the joke?). If this is true (which I don't think), then the "Dev Team" are pretty lame.

It is an april fools joke. read the engadget update at the bottom. god, i had a heart attack.
