I guess some of the people in the dev team are russian.
US Eastern Time
1. March 31, 7pm or so, US: "we have been bought out" text (but it's April 1st in parts of the world)
2. April 1, early morning: shows a cartoon steve, text no longer there
3. April 1, late morning: shows a cartoon steve, with added link back to dev team wikee page
So looks like they just made a retarded april fools joke.
