I think it's ironic how i just did that last night... or is that a coincidence?

I don't understand why you'd do this... I feel like a lot of jailbreakers who change around the theme just want to be different. Sometimes its ok to just say damn that set up and icons are great how they are, I don't need to be different with everything.

Or, I know this may sound crazy, some people might just prefer the look and layout of a different phone and want it on theirs. Yeah, maybe they just want to be different but it might not be that. The Storm's interface is very good looking and while I prefer the iPhone's layout and interface and look, someone might prefer the Storm over the iPhone.

I think this is just not right.

why would you have this on your blackberry .... is everyone now trying to have or be iphone. blackberry are made for business people and iphone are made for kids ... okay am kidding this is mac fourms after alll.

i just get bored with the standard iphone theme.. or any theme for that matter, and like to change it every couple of weeks

Ironic because people see the Storm as an iPhone-killer, yet Storm users are putting the iPhone theme on their phone to mask the piece of crap they have and remind them of the phone they actually want.

Nice with the iPhone low blow, but I'm still laughing that a Storm owner would put an iPhone theme on their "Smart"phone... *CLICK* away Storm users...

Or maybe they want the Blackberry and they think the theme is ugly. It's like Windows Mobile users who want the functionality of Windows but hate how Windows Mobile epically fails due to the need for a stylus in some areas. So they put the iPhone theme on. Kinda like how XP is ugly to some people, but they need it for certain software/games. So they put either a Vista or OSX theme on it.

OMG KILL IT WITH FIRE!! Seriously, I would rather leave it alone than have it end up looking like that piece of trash. No offense to you or anything, I just think that looks absolutely hideous (and that's ignoring the pixelation).

:p

I see this as the same as people who put those aqua themes on windows to make it look like a mac

I've had a Blackberry Storm for about 3 weeks now. I don't care for it. The keyboard sucks, it crashes two or three times a week, the interface is hard to use.

I have a 30-day return policy from Verizon...I'm switching it out today for a Blackberry Curve.

If nothing else, the Storm has clearly demonstrated to me how vastly superior the iPhone is. Unfortunatley, we're locked into Verizon as a provider.

I used to do that...sadly. But the old saying about polishing a turd comes to play here.

well i just put something called flyakite on my windows xp install running under parralels in coherance mode

i mean whatever but it's still better than xp blue

I love costum themes.

Here is an iPhone theme on my old Treo 755p:

Also my Blackberry OSX theme:

Or even my Vista theme:

I have AT&T and the only reason i got an iPhone is because at the time I couldnt afford to get an unlocked storm now I would never go back to an i

The iPhone homescreen is one of my least favorite things about the phone. After over 2 years, it is starting to get rather stale and boring.

Coming from Blackberry, I can tell you that themes are about the least useful thing on a Blackberry. Most of the themes I used on the Storm and Tour may have attributed to memory leaks and 3rd party apps cannot be skinned (it's been a while, might be wrong).

I really don't understand the craze behind themes. I agree that the iPhone's homescreen will probably be boring to me after another month, but I'd rather have a useful phone than a useless theme that lags, eats memory like I eat pizza, and is only partially skinned.

I've had the storm since its been out and have not had any of those probs that you just described, especially with the new updates, its blazing fast and i love the phone.

Weird, mine was fine until the first OS update, then everything went downhill. My launch phone started missing an inordinate number of calls, so I got a FRU. FRU didn't charge because of a bad USB. Turned that FRU in for another FRU, this FRU ended up with a fatal error. Turned that FRU in for my 4th Storm, this one's screen didn't click on the upper half of the screen. Turned in that FRU for a Tour.

Personally, I found the irony to be that a lot of iPhone users want a theme on their phones, unhappy with the default stock homescreen. Then when blackberry users CAN theme their phones, they chose to use an iPhone one.

Why is that ironic? Do you think the iPhone users got bored to the default homescreen instantly? Maybe some blackberry users just wanted something new and switched to this theme... Also it's not the case that ALL blackberry users are switching to iPhone theme, it's just one theme out of hundreds.

Imo the real irony in this thread is that iPhone user is laughing about other smartphone user using themes when non-JB iPhone doesn't even support any UI customization. Seems like only on iPhone forums a choice is a bad thing...
