iPhone Leather Cases New Colors

I can't wait to see it in a month's time when it's gone almost completely black, and its tearing at the bottom seams like every case Apple makes.

Well, I've had the black leather case since the iPhone 7 launched and it has held up great, no tearing what so ever. I've also seen how the Product Red cases have wore, so I know what to expect in that regard. Since I upgrade every year, my time with my 7 Plus is half over and I was looking for something to make it more interesting while we wait for the 8. I don't imagine I'll keep the berry case on full time since I still do like the look of the black one. Anyways, thank you for your concern.

It's more red, or in other words less purple. It could actually pass for the Product Red case which is more orange IRL. It definitely looks different than the way the Apple pictures make it appear. I personally dislike having to mail back something I want to return, so it might be worth the drive to see the actual case before you buy it.

Ah well I've just ordered one. ijustine has an unboxing video and I can see that it's not as red as the red iPhone and it looks nice in the video. I've also watched Detroit Borg and Krystal keys unboxing videos and I'm happy with the way it looks there. If it's unnameable I'll send it back.

I was surprised iJustine didn't get the Product Red Leather case to try with her red iPhone, instead of just the red silicon and berry leather. I'd like to see the berry case next to the leather red for comparison. I hope you like yours once you receive it. I'm growing more accustom to mine and will probably keep it.

That's ok. I was back at the Apple Store today. I was curious to see how the berry actually compared to the Product Red. It's a bigger difference than I expected.

Here is the sapphire I just got. I like it a lot and like others have mentioned, the leather is much "grippier" on this new case than it was on previous versions (I have storm grey and had the saddle brown).

Enjoy it - it ages really nicely, it'll darken to look more as it does on Apples website. Which is a good thing!

I bought mine a week ago and it looks and feels different than the black and saddle brown I also bought 6 months ago. This sapphire has the best leather I've noticed in the 4 years I've had Apple leather cases.

Indeed they are not, someone even wrote an article about the exact same topic, see below.

However, don't forget you know, it'll be the exact same situation next year if the iPhone 8 comes out (and no identical-shape 7s) - that being, the iPhone 8 leather and silicone cases are gunna be the ones getting all the love + new colours. Including Spring 2018, new colours will be exclusive to the 2017 iPhones. If the 7s is real and it's the same dimensions as iPhone 7, then theres no reason why those staying with 7 can't use the new 7s leather case colours. Apple officially listed its 6s cases as compatible with iPhone 6, eg.

However if theres no iPhone 7s, just 8, then the iPhone 7 Leather series cases meanwhile would get dumbed down to just 4 or so colours and not get updated anymore. Thats the way it works sadly, a year ago the 6s got so many new colours for Spring 2016, all of which were dropped as soon as the 7 came out. It sucks, and its a very elitist marketing move from Apple, but thats the way it works sadly.

Naked iphone ftw. Feels better and cheaper to replace if broken than all the cases.
