I use my phone as a workout screen on apps like Zwift so I'm prepared to go as physically large as I can handle. For people like me a foldable phone is grail but that's likely many, many years away yet for Apple who will be content to let Samsung take the plunge and see how the market reacts and matures.

Absolutely peak size. You could maybe go larger if you offer an iPhone that bends in half for your pocket. But I can't imagine carrying anything larger than the Plus/Max in my front pocket.

60 votes so far, 70% say it’s big enough, 20% want bigger, 10% undecided. Paints a pretty good picture, but I’d love to double the number of votes.

This thought just occurred to me—maybe by “Max” Apple is implying this is the size limit. :D

Have been saying for years the biggest display with the smallest bezels but without notch that fits in standard pants pockets. Looks like unnotched 6.6" is doable.

For the sake of the poll, please disregard the notch and assume the bezels don’t exist. This is regarding screen size only. And please disregard possible future major changes in form factor (ie. folding phones).

I’m curious to see if we’ve met our cap for screen size demand in the current form factor, at least in these forums. Thanks. Comments welcome.

Also if you want a bigger screen, please specify size if known.
By your rules, yeah, I think the Max is about as big as I’d want a phone that can’t be folded or stretched or whatever. Any bigger and I’d imagine it be cumbersome to hold in one hand, much less operate with one hand.

Trend is big screens and Apple did it. I think all future models will be over 6” inches. Is 6.5” best option, I’m not sure... I was disappointed that cheaper model R got 6.1” which could be maybe “best” dot the X - not too small and not too big...

Well, let’s see how’s it feels in next week....

Even if iPhones were to increase in being larger, I’m not interested in that. 6.5 is the largest I would want for viewability of content and portability.

The verge hands on video on yt you'll see there's more space between the icons. Same as 8 and 8 plus
exactly which is why i preferred mini to the 9.7 ipad. The icons were just to spread out on the latter

It’s rare that “more content”’is the key selling point for anything being bigger...on handheld devices, that is.

It tends to be more about the experience. Seeing “more”....videos/movies, easier to do work because typography is bigger (emails, reading, PDF’s, etc. )

I ordered the MAX simply because the main use for my phone is work...and when it comes time to using/sharing Maps, pictures, email content, etc. , bigger is always better.

And going from an7+, I already know the form factor fits well in my hand, my pockets and on the dash of my car.
