iPhone music problem: song shows different artist than in iTunes

Wonder if 8.3 fixed? Not hopeful though.

I wondered the same thing since I updated my iPhone to 8.3 & no changes to the songs I had issues with. I'll try removing the songs & re-syncing and see if that fixes it. Otherwise, I don't think the update had any effect on this bug.

Nope my Eminem songs still messed up.

I am having this exact same problem. It took me forever to find this post and see that others were also having it. (I figured they were; I just couldn't phrase my search terms right to get the results.)

I'm on a Mac, with the latest iTunes (12.1.2.27) and iOS 8.3 and this is definitely still happening.

One thing I've noticed, it only seems to affect songs purchased from the iTunes store. I can successfully change the artist information on songs I've purchased elsewhere or imported myself and it shows up properly on my iPhone.

I really hope this gets fixed soon; it's driving me crazy!

Oh my gosh it DID take a long time to find this thread! Is anyone still having this issue? I just noticed it on a song I purchased from iTunes __two weeks ago__ - "Mr. Blue Sky" by ELO - on my mac it has ELO but on my phone I couldn't find the song forever bc it has "George Harrision" - whose name, by the way, is nowhere to be found in the song info when I pull it up on the mac. ???????? yikes!
