Ok so I've had the iPhone for almost 2 months and have used blackberrys n a few occasions. So here are the key points:
-ui: iPhone. It's so easy to use and figure out
-design: iPhone. Just look at it
-screen size: iPhone (unless bb storm)
-browser: iPhone. The screen is huge compared to a bb with a keyboard. Also the bb browser SUCKS
-texting: depends. I've had only physical keyboard phones before the iPhone and tried other phones with virtual keyboards. This is the only one that works well. (I do around 10,000 texts a month)
-fun: iPhone. It is also an iPod, and oh yea all the apps.

So in my opinion, iPhone.

Quite simply, I would say that you can't come on an iPhone forum and expect people to reccommend a BB. At one point, all of us considered our respective purchase choice.

My guess, you want an iPhone and just need to hear from others that it's the "right" choice.

If you go to a surgeon asking him/her what the best course of therapy would be, odds are they'd reccommend...surgery!

I don't think that is neccessarily true. I think it makes sense to go on an iPhone forum and ask for opinions about the two and vice versa. Who better to solicit opinions from than the people who love them. You can see what makes someone passionate about the iPhone here, which I think is valuable info when shopping for a device.

Anyone who prefers the iPhone's keyboard over a nice physical keyboard has been beaten over the head with marketing and should take a step back and evaluate their views on consumer electronics.

this just couldn't be more wrong. I use both on a daily basis and the iPhone's virtual keyboard is so superior to my curve's physical one. First, the keys are small and cramped on the bb. Second, touching is always going to be easier than pressing. (doesn't that just make sense?) third, once you learn to trust the iPhone autocorrect, you realize even if you press half the keys incorrectly, your message will still come out correct.

And finally, what marketing hype? Every competitor bashes the iPhone keyboard, but since when has apple ever marketed the virtual keyboard?
