I have an iPhone, but I bought the old Nano near its release last year. When driving it is much better to have a physical scroll wheel than a touch screen, so I can operate it without looking. And the Nano is so small it fits perfectly in the cubby on the door :)

I got a 16GB in black.

I have a couple of different ipod models that I use for different purposes. I have a 160GB classic (the earlier one) that holds my CD collection (100GB) and I have an older 80GB ipod that holds my bootleg concerts (70GB). The Nano is for using during workouts and yard work.

So I went back to Best Buy tonight to see if any had come in on their truck and the colors are GORGEOUS. Well, I should say the pink is gorgeous. It's so much more vibrant than the previous version and the shiny finish looks really, really sweet. Even the BB kid was surprised at how pretty they are. Tragically, they only got 16GB ones in in black and silver (boring ;) ), so I must wait. They're thinking they might get the rest of them in sometime in the next few days, so I guess I'll be stalking BB until then.

The local Best Buy STILL doesn't have the 16GB nanos in in any color besides silver and black (or had them and then sold out); however, when I mentioned to the kid who checked tonight for me that I'd already been into the store half a dozen times to see if they'd gotten them in yet, he was able to find a store about 10 miles away that has 5 of them (I want pink) in stock. I paid for one tonight, and he then went to that store to pick it up and will bring it with him to work at 7 am tomorrow. How awesome is that? I've done the store-to-store shipment thing with BB before, but it's always been via an actual shipment and has ended up taking multiple days. I was really excited that they volunteered to do this for me. Yay BB. :)

thinking of getting the gf a green one.. got her a green one last year, but ill wait until clear cases come out b4 i buy it, she loves throwing it in her green coach purse along with all of her other green items..

did i mention she likes green?

I wanted the new Nano when it was announced, but after playing with it at the Apple store today I am passing on it. The video recording is far less than my iPhone 3gs. It video recordings doesn't even fill the Nano screen in landscape mode. The radio is kinda cool, but my 4th gen Nano has radio too (with an Apple Radio remote unit). The external Apple Radio works with my Classic and iPod Video too and it has dual headphones out to share. I'm gonna hold until the next Nano or Touch with a better camera.

I seriously considered it. I always use a shuffle or a nano in the gym or jogging. he new shuffle is the worst iPod that I have ever purchased. Those cheap headphones ruined the experience, and now I can't change my volume or my songs.

I will get the smallest 1 that they have more than likely. With the cheap price of the zune though, I have been checking that out as well.

i was liking the look of the stainless steel shuffle for biking/running. i hate taking my iphone with me for that.

There are times when I find a click wheel much more useful than the slider on the iPhone, but I don't want a pedometer, radio or video so I'll keep my current nano from the previous generation.
