I agree. I'm not a cingular fanboy by any stretch, but their service is perfect for me (I never have a dropped call).

i'll second that. i may have lost a few calls in really crappy areas over the course of my many years with ATT and then Cingular and now Back to ATT.

Wouldn't the few years down the road price drop be right about the time your contract with cingular/at&t expires?
SJ 2009 -"Don't want another two years with Cingular? We'll drop the price on the iPhone to make up for it for you'll buy into all over again."

why are you feeling short handed?

of course prices will fall, would you have it any other way?

I hope prices go up and the first batch is completely bug free. Imagine what that would do to the smug smile on the faces of all those "I am going to wait for you to beta test it for me before I buy one." types.

its not about the price for most of us (atleast me) its more about substance, if jobs would offer me something worth its price tag I wouldn't mind saving for an entire year to get that, at the moment, sadly, iPhone for me is no more than 120GBP worth of iPod 8GB with a novelty phone and touchscreen ....

This Is Freakin Bullcrap!!!!!!

I have always been a mac fan and now Apple is screwing there customers by making a 33% price drop within 2 months. I will never buy another mac product again. My friends agree with me also, they too are pissed off about the price drop. If apple were to come around and at least give us some kind of in store credit I would think about forgiving them for this. Call me bitter, call me a sourpuss, I dont care. I as a customer should be treated better than this. I don't know of any other PDA phone that dropped 33% in 2 months. Maybe after 6 months or so but not 2.

NO MORE APPLE PRODUCTS FOR ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with bronxbomerz, however what he said in that interview does apply with what he said in the Keynote. In the Keynote he said "as the price drops... I don't see why everyone would not want one" and now that they are around the $400 mark, I don't see why not.
