13 pro is/was the best iphone since iphone 7 imo. perfect phone. battery life and display top tier.
i was going to upgrade to 14 pro but this phone is already too good and i’m definitely staying away from ios 16 for a little while

Um…hello! I’m just biding time until the new iphones are available. I was planning to upgrade when my iphone died. To fix it thru Apple would cost hundreds more. So in this case would not be worth it. This repair will get me thru until I can get a new iPhone. Now if a new iPhone that I plan to keep for years just like I did my iphone 11 pro breaks, yeah, I wouldn’t take it to a mom & pop shop. I’d take it to Apple. This is a different situation Obviously.
I’d order a 14 Pro Max in the configuration you want from any retailer who can deliver the earliest dates. It’ll be a long time to wait for the 15 Pro Max with a patched up 11 Pro Max like yours!
Where in NYC did you check? I was able to get a SG 14 Pro 512GB at a VZ store in Astoria , week later decided to switch back at the ATT store and got a gold 14 Pro 512GB. You probably have better luck at the carriers or maybe even in BB.
I’m not sure how what I said was unclear, and I’m not being snide. You said you didn’t know if you should wait another year and hope your pieced together 11 Pro Max holds up or order a 14 Pro Max. I said order a 14 Pro Max. Even if it took a month, that’s still a better option.

You’re possibly right. I use Mint mobile tho, and they have no stores. And they’re out online as well.

I understand your rationale, but the value of the Pro line as creative tools means you shouldn’t let just anyone repair it. You did what you needed to do, but the problem could have become worse after the shop repair.

Yup. I was trying purchase a 14 pro from a store in San Diego, missed it, and then an hour later it was available in Mission Viejo. Since I was driving from San Diego to Ontario later that day, it worked out perfectly for me.
Definitely try refreshing throughout the day as stock comes available.
Me too... i'm going to NY next week, just staying 3 days around there... and idk if i'll able to buy the iPhone 14 PM... sad...

Not sure about New York but in Chicagoland area they have been improving in stocks. some stores would have their stocks go out in minutes. But now it's not going out of stock as fast. Usually the 128 GB and the 256 GB are the ones that sell out pretty fast. But not many are interested in teh 512 gb or the 1 tb in this area. Like right now certain stores still has either a 512 gb or a 1 tb in stock.
I went to my local Apple Store of course sold out so I got my trade in on an aloe gift card and just ordered the iPhone 14 pro deep purple 256 time frame Oct 25th -nov 1st I ordered on September 30th and it came early
