Since we still dont have any news for Keynote, I assume we wont be seeing new iPad, or iPhone SE 2?

The SE2 is a bit of a contradiction as to when and if it will be coming to the U.S. market. Accord to India sources, it being made right now! I rather see a smaller "X" then the SE! Sure it will cost more but has more up to date features instead of stuff 2-3 year components old repackage in the same box and the 720i screen.

Still? Apple keynotes are not broadcasted this far in advance (Assuming it’s around March 22). Today is March 1, they likely wouldn’t even send out the press release until approximately 10 days prior to the actual Keynote, that is if they even plan on having one for March at all.

I assume we wont be seeing new iPad, or iPhone SE 2?

The iPhone SE 2 refresh has been rumored multiple times to occur, however from sketchy sources. It’s been predicted by Ming Kuo (Who is heavily reliable over many analysts) that an SE 2 will not launch in 2018.

Last year the 5th gen iPad was announced with no fanfare on March 21st and was in stores on the 24th.

The year before that, the original SE was also announced on March 21st.

It's not like the big September iPhone releases. It'll probably be another 2-3 weeks before we hear anything about anything being released this month.

In that case may be Apple will simply drop the price of iPhone SE to $299.

5G LTE will be finally release in the U.S. Markets around October. Will Apple update this radios or wait till 2019?

Even if Apple does not reduce the price of the iPhone SE, you can literally find the SE for $150 on sale through various carriers/retailers. They might reduce the price of the SE if they do not update it, which would likely be reflective in the fall.

That is only in US though. And i think most of them are locked. There are a few in EU unlocked going for $299 including tax so that is quite low already. But for most part of the world iPhone SE just aren't sub $200 or even sub $300.

Well we need to know what is 5G first, some Network are already expressing they will like to call Massive MIMO and LAA as 5G, instead of the current defined 5G as NR and likely mmWave.

Apple will also need to update its handset Antenna design to support 4x4 MIMO, which is actually ridiculously hard. ( Kudos to Samsung for getting it out so fast ) I have a feeling ever since AntennaGate Apple hass been very conservative in their Antenna Design. So we might not even see 4x4 in this year iPhone upgrade.

The Modem support is also a little late, the current Intel modem in iPhone doesn't support 4x4 MIMO or LAA yet. Only the Qualcomm does. And if we are talking about NR and mmWave it is likely we wont even see it in 2019 iPhone.

Apple is rumor to be building it own communication chipset to replace Qualcomm, Broadcom and Intel components.

Rumour for SE2 is June with lower budget iPad in end of March

Depends if they have an event in March maybe we will see SE after all.

I’m waiting anxiously for a new iPad mini
Don’t think that will happen. I don’t think they won’t make another mini.

.

That was an extremely sketchy rumor for the SE being refreshed in June, which I don’t believe will happen. If we don’t have a spring Keynote, then I would say the chances are very unlikely that the SE will be refreshed at all.

A 4.2" model might be happening in September! I waiting for the 4.2" version of the "X"! It suppose to be even more premium the the 6.5" model and will start at $1,500 instead of the 6.5" that is $1,300.

I have a 12.9” iPad Pro and an iPad mini 4. I’m most anxious for the iPad mini to be refreshed. Maybe it will never happen. Who knows, this is Apple. You can never know for sure.

There is basically zero indication there will be a 4.2 variant of the iPhone X, the only rumored models at this point are the 6.1 LCD/5.8/6.5 OLED models. Anything remotely close to that size, would likely just been updated iPhone SE, with internal specifications . And the 6.5 OLED model will not start at $1,500. Not sure where you even came up with that price point?

Yes, and Apple already has its own 802.11n and Bluetooh W2 chip ready, W3, which should include 802.11ac should be a perfect fit for iPhone SE. Strategically speaking, it will only make sense to have Apple LTE at a later stage once the mess with Qualcomm and using Intel as backup is all clear.

Although It might make sense if Apple were to have its own SoC with Intel LTE built in and fabbed with Intel 14nm for iPhone SE. I

Been very happy with my SE. I like the form factor and don't need any 'extra' features.

Would buy another when and if I needed it, but I tend to keep my phones about 3 years. Just hope they keep the headphone jack and home button......but we all know Apple.....

Finally made the switch to 4.1 bluetooth earbuds and wow! Much better then my 3 year old over the ear headphones that were over $200! I now have three, two cheap earbuds and a Bose SoundSport separate earbuds!

If Apple retains the current form factor, it’s possible they could retain the 3.5 Jack. That said, if they do update the SE, I don’t believe they will retain the 3.5 mm Jack, simply because they likely want uniformity across their iPhone line and will go against their own beliefs when multiple Apple executives have said 3.5 mm Jack is antiquated. And also, by them not including the 3.5 mm Jack, it’s allowing the AirPods to be an alternative. Either way, the home button would likely exist on an updated SE2 if updated.

Since we are into the middle of the 1st week of March and no word on any releases, look like the SE will stay the same for now! That means there is hope for the top of the line 4.2" "X" to be release in September with a starting price of $1,500. I would be the fiirst one online in doing the pre-order at Apple website.
