Since we are into the middle of the 1st week of March and no word on any releases, look like the SE will stay the same for now! That means there is hope for the top of the line 4.2" "X" to be release in September with a starting price of $1,500. I would be the fiirst one online in doing the pre-order at Apple website.

The last SE was announced on March 21st 2016 and officially launched on March 31st. Today is March 7th. A new device could come out this month and still not even be announced for 2 more weeks.

Who knows…
We might get really lucky and it might be exactly the same case design with just some spec bumps!

Not sure why you’re so inclined to believe there will be no SE refresh because today is March 7. Numerous times t’s actually been predicted to launch anytime between March and June. Apple could announce it anytime from now until June if they wanted to or even perhaps fall. Nobody knows Apple and they are completely unpredictable.

Same thing happened last year the iPads, everybody expected the iPad Pros to be refreshed right around the March timeframe in 2017, and they launched during WWDC 2017 in June.

I'll hold off on buying a new phone. I want an updated SE. I hope it is released in March.

I think there will be an updated SE but without the headphone jack - it will probably have a capacitive home button.

It would be nice if Apple would updated the SE2 SoC to at least an A11 since in September an A12 will be release! Take out the rewriting of the screen to 720i and go with the native 5,5C,5S, SE LCD screen panel of 1440p, after all TV are 4K and the iPhone is less then HD(1K) quality!

The iPhone SE doesn’t really need the A11 Bionic chip, mainly the A11 was suited for augmented reality and Face ID capabilities. Even the SE was updated, the A10 would be more than enough power. Even the A9 processor is still powerful enough in its current state.

5G LTE will be finally release in the U.S. Markets around October. Will Apple update this radios or wait till 2019?

Very few places on earth get anywhere near max 4g speeds. What application are you trying to use now that isn’t working but will on our mythical new beast 5g?

That’s the whole point of 5G.

Mediocre 5G signal = Faster than max 4G speeds

Have you ever used your iPhone as a hotspot? Faster speeds make a big difference.

No headphone jack, no purchase.

It won’t have the Headphone Jack in all likeliness if the casing is altered. I think Apple truly wants to move away from the 3.5 mm Jack for reasons we all know. At this point, I don’t believe the SE will be updated.

Apple needs to at least keep up to the average Android smartphones in screen resolution and LTE and Wi-Fi standards. Right now they are only at LTE4 and 802.11ac! No dual band on either! It so sad that Apple just keeps it marketing hype but just procrastinating in terms of keeping up with current standards of the competition. Samsung is the cutting edge on their Galaxy and Note smartphones and is about three years ahead of Apple iPhone X!

What’s The relation to Samsung‘s latest devices compared to the iPhone SE? Wouldn’t you expect iPhone SE to NOT include the latest functionality and capabilities to retain the price point for consumers? It is an entry-level iPhone after all.
