Not quite ALL the power of the 6s+...
Really? It has the same internals. What am I missing here?
Not quite ALL the power of the 6s+...
It literally uses the exact same chip as the 6S Plus ... so pretty much yes ... all the power of the 6S Plus. Not quite ALL the power of the 6s+...
Uh ... the 6S doesn't have those camera improvements either. Power is generally a term used for the processor and GPU ... which is exactly the same in the SE as the 6S Plus.Same cpu...yes, but missing 2nd gen Touch ID, camera improvements, etc.

Just setting record straight, that's all...the SE is not a flagship phone.
Whether it has enough of the key features is up to each to decide...
Why are you jumping on my back?
Suggest you read thru all the posts in this thread. I'm glad the SE exists...choice is good.
But to be fair to the nay-sayers... the SE is not a flagship phone.
Does that matter to me or the others who are glad Apple released this? Of course not!
You're not setting anything straight. The person you were responding to was referring to the power only ... and it being crammed into a smaller body. This 400 dollar phone has the same power as the much more expensive flagship phones. It might not be advertised as a flagship (because it isn't), but its internal components for the price are very impressive considering how much cheaper it is. In fact, due to the smaller phone resolution, the benchmarks of the SE actually beat the other two phones in several areas.Just setting record straight, that's all...the SE is not a flagship phone.

Nobody did, he's creating arguments for himself. Can you please point out the person that said that the SE is Apple's flagship phone. I'd like to set him straight myself.

iPhone SE 16 GB ~ $399
iPhone SE 64 GB ~ $499
iPhone 6S 16 GB ~ $649
iPhone 6S 64 GB ~ $749
iPhone 6S Plus 16 GB ~ $749
iPhone 6S Plus 64 GB ~ $849
Its two bigger brothers are 250 to 350 bucks more ... and they have the same internal A9 chip with 2 GB RAM and the same camera as the 6S. You can call the SE whatever the heck you want, but it has flagship components in a smaller form factor for a much cheaper price.
On a side note, I finally got to play with the SE today in the store ... and it was like a 5S on steroids. The little thing was stupid fast compared to my aging 5S I still have around ... so much that it felt like an entirely different phone. The UI seems a lot crisper, probably due to the 3x speed GPU driving it ... or maybe I'm just imagining it due to the dramatic performance bump in the phone.

I'm sorry, but I can't stop laughing at your verbiage here.im using it now and love it. the standby time is ridiculous on this phone. battery consumption while watching media is minimal. one handed operation makes this phone compelling. it has a classic design at this point. typing on this phone is easier. this phone is a fuggin porsche mkay? and it looks sexy. so what its not a 4.7 inch sized display. same ppi as the 6s. phone is fast as ****. you dont look like a fuggin nerd turd with an oversized phablet. it fits well in your pocket. switching tracks while jogging is painless. i know its not safe at all, but using the phone while driving is much easier thereby safer to other drivers.
phone has the latest A9 SoC + 2GB of RAM. i came from a 6+ and it feels like an upgrade. had to get used to the smaller screen size but adjusted already.
this phone is gangster as ****

Yeah I hear ya. I played around with it today at the store and I'm even more excited than I was before. It's stupidly fast. Still two weeks out before mine gets here. >_>just tired of some folks denigrating a device that is not meant for them. isnt this phone going to be free on contract? for the mid-tier smartphone category the SE is a compelling device. it blows out of the water other mid tier phones in terms of performance.
That's a lot of functionality lost from the 6S+ to the SE.
Not really, while the + has OIS, force touch, and a better display, there's not much else that it has which makes a marked difference. The price difference is great as well. That's a lot of functionality lost from the 6S+ to the SE.
Nice device if you want a small screen but what's intriguing about it? We have seen it all before.

I wouldn't call it a sleeper. Barometer and 3D Touch were two linch pins for me. I maybe could have lived without 3D Touch but certainly not the pressure sensor which is used for so much more than just measuring when its going to rain.
