Pretty sure people have mentioned about back tap and if it is on iPhone X or later well actually the iPhone 8 and 8 plus get this, but still not the SE

This and app clips too

Yeah, but that could be due to missing hardware in the SE. You also can't tap to wake the screen either.

I am happy with my iPhone 7 iOS 12.4.1

That’s why I am because hated haptic touch
Press longer and booom and also love peek and pop feature. At last , I will never update iOS 12 to iOS 13-14

Happy with my 3D touch. Don’t want to lose this feature. Yep.

3D Touch is still there in iOS 13 for devices that support it.

what missing hardware though (this has nothing to do with Haptic Touch though)

either that or Apple is being deliberate

Tap to Wake has nothing to do with hardware, not since the past few years.

You've got phones that literally cost $89 like Redmi 8A launched in 2019 that have the feature.

Not sure if comparing non-iPhones to iPhones really says much about why some models might or might not have it.

No iPhone with a home button has ever had Tap to Wake.

Not work expected, iOS 12 and before 3D Touch is not same as iOS 13. You know see the YouTube videos about it
I use it on a daily basis. There are some slight differences in a few places, but the main point is that it's still there and still works in iOS 13.

So, late to the thread here... But I was having this same issue. I think I figured it out - you seem to only be able to use this feature if you're using passcode on your phone. If I turn passcode off, I can no longer use quick reply. Which is really stupid, because face ID already unlocked my phone at that point anyway. So, it's available if faceID unlocks your phone, but not if you want to keep your phone unlocked. Bleh.

For reference, I'm on the 11 Pro Max. This definitely should be an available feature, regardless of my "lock" status.

That seems like a somewhat different issue that the one related to using Haptic Touch on the Lock Screen on devices like iPhone SE.
