my 64gb SE battery is down to 86%. the life is terrible. takes about 10 minutes to go from 20% to 1%! this phone is on its original battery and running 15.8.3

my 32 GB SE is running 13. its battery is at 92%. it's offline, so i don't know about life difference.

holding off for the release of the SE4. i hope it is well designed and a good replacement for this SE1.

Thats your problem.

Regarding the rumored SE4, if you don’t like big screens then it’s a big problem…

no question. longevity seemed to take a hit when the iOS was updated. just surprised it tanks so quickly after 20%.

86% is as best 30% usable capacity in my experience. The battery health indicator is non linear with usable capacity and I've found 80% health ~ 0% usable. That your 8 year old battery is still 30% usable is not bad...but due a replacement unless you plan to discard very soon. Battery replacement should be <$100.

It will probably be a fine phone but a different experience. Likely physically much bigger with a 6.1" screen and no home button. The USB-C port will be nice and should run newer apps much faster than an SE1.
