You will have to temporarily unfreeze your report. Hopefully, you still have the PIN they gave you at the time. FWIW, I have a banking background. I recommend everyone freeze their credit reports. You just have to make sure you can unfreeze it when needed. Simple process, as long as you follow the instructions.

Yep, I initially did not get approval because they couldn't check the credit. Which is kind of weird that its needed because while applying for the upgrade program they want credit card info. But I then did a temp unfreeze on my credit reporting sites (and yes, thankfully i saved all the PIN numbers in my 1Password vault) to the second time it all went through.

So dumb question. Now that I have been pre-approved, where do the payments come from? My credit card that I gave the info for? Do I get an Apple Card? Do I get to choose tomorrow when I place the order?

The payments will come out of the card you provided yes. You do not get an Apple Card, that’s a separate process entirely.

All you should see tomorrow when you finish your order is a summary of your pre order info and a “Complete” button.

If you are doing iUP, you do not get the Apple Card, that is totally separate. If you plan to do ACI, you must apply for Apple Card and get it approved, they will send you the physical card if you apply for the apple card.

I tried doing IUP, but I was denied due to "Applicant's identity cannot be verified". So he put in a request, to have someone manually go in and look over it. CS is currently at 700. I know a few other people had this issue. What did you do to get it fix? I would like to get approved and onto the upgrade program. But, I don't know what else to do at this point?

If I went and used my Apple Card to do the 0% option, and they somehow approved me. What would happen then? Can I cancel my Apple.com order? Or have them switch my payment option to IUP with my current order?

I would like to get this on launch day, Which is my main concerns at this moment.

And this year you have not got a hard pull? There were quite a few people who reported that they were currently on iup and have been past years and they reported they got a hard pull this year. So it's a hit or miss. So far for 3 years I have not gotten a hard full after the start of the IUP.

I'm holding out for the 12 Pro Max so haven't had a chance yet to do the pre-qual.

You can use the Apple Card for the monthly payment. You’re NOT charged the full price on the Apple Card. Only the monthly and the sales tax if you used Apple Card as your initial payment.

^ that's correct. Plus you'll get the 3% cash back on those monthly IUP payments.
