Our family bill runs us $250 a month or so. We have an iPhone and a Blackberry on the plan with 1400 minutes, unlimited texts and data on both.
 
550 minute plan - $59.99
2x 200 bonus minutes - $0 (U200)
2x Data plan - $60
2x 200 Text Messages - $0 (CLL2)
-University discount
+Taxes

~$120/mo for two iPhone users.

Total monthly bill before tax etc. - $129 And yeah, I think that's insane. I can't even comprehend some of the numbers in this thread, LOL. I mean, some of you are paying more than my car payment for a phone. At $129, I'm already thinking of cutting my minutes back to 700, and dropping the data plan on my wifes phone. (Not an iPhone, but a centro).

How does anyone justify spending over $200 a month for phone service?

One LG cf360 $9.99

550 minutes shared
200 texts/month for iPhone
Corporate discount of 24% off calling plan.

By my calculations, it will be $80.60/month before taxes and such.
 
Family Plan 700 minutes (4 lines)
2 iPhones with data plans
2 regular cell phones
Unlimited Messaging Plan
-24% FAN discount

$175 a month.
 
I have 2 iphones on my 1400 minute family plan. If I were to add a line and line was another iphone, can I do that for $9.99 a month or do I need to pay more because its an iphone?

The iphone is $9.99 + $30 for the data plan which is required.

That's pretty much what my wife and I have (except for your wife's corporate discount).

Is the iPhong going to change your life? Definitely. Been there, done that. :D

700 shared minutes - $46.80
3GS - $30 data plan, $20 unlimited text
original iphone - $9.99 only, no data, no text

$46.80 for 700 minutes +$30 3GS data plan +$20 unlimited individual text +$9.99 for dads original iphone = 106.79 + taxes = $118ish

damn i love that discount. without it, i wouldnt have an iphone.
 
For me - 5 iPhones, 900 minutes (I think) shared prime time, unlimited messaging, various fees & taxes = $295ish, give or take.

3 iPhone 3G data plans (one 3G and two 3GS)
2 iPhone 2G data plans (two original iPhones)

Congrats on the purchase and welcome to the club.

I don't know how you make it on only 550 mins per month. I go through that weekly.

i dont know how hes gonna make it on 200 shared texts, i dont think i text often but i use about 1300 a month

and yes iphone will change your life

You sure seem to make a lot of phone calls. I have the 550-minute family plan as well. I usually use less than 100 minutes of it per month. I spend way more time texting, e-mailing and browsing the Web on my iPhone than talking on it. ;)
