iPhone X Battery health degrading?

I don’t think anything is wrong with the speakers itself, just the placement of them.

I don't think any speakers are defective. I think the placement of the speakers warrant them also being replaced with the battery. Not sure why, exactly.

I could be wrong as I'm not familiar with the configuration of the X's internals but this is what the Dallas Apple Store genius told me -- that the speakers needed to be replaced with my battery and there was no workaround. All costs were covered under the limited warranty.

I've changed my habits a bit after "losing" another percent while on a 3-week trip abroad where the iPhone was heavily used (Google Maps for travel itineraries, information search, and LOTS of photos).

Since coming back I've changed my habits a bit. I try not to let the battery go below 20% and when that happens, turn on Battery saving feature immediately. I'm also using a Anker wireless charger in the office to keep the battery at least at 80% charge.

At 244 cycles my iPhone's battery health is now at 92% (92.8% according to coconutB). Let's see whether this change in habits has an impact in the evolution of battery life.
 
got my X a month ago and it's already at 98%. like WTF! planning to bring it to an apple store to get a replacement phone..
 
After 9 months, my battery is at 99%. I do not let the battery drop below 40% and I use Apple 29 or 30W fast charges at night.

I really wouldn't worry about 1-2% here or there. The batteries are not all at an identical level when they leave the factory. Some may have more than the rated and some may have slightly less.

I'd only worry if it starts dropping sharply and you have a noticeable drop in usage.

As an example though this is my XS Max and iPad Pro. You can see how the battery levels fluctuate which is why I wouldn't put too much faith in the reporting. For one thing I can't see how the battery capacity can ever increase through use and charging!

Mine is now on 91%. Not sure how many cycles. Battery life is fine, but I can swear that the phone is not as snappy as it used to be :|
 
How about going from 100% to 99% then to 98% and back to 100%?

Mine is now at 91%. I guess I'll be ripe for a battery change next year....

Good for you ! It ain't an exact science, they say :)
 
Do you think the dual battery L-shaped design of X, not in XS/XSM (that is a single battery L-shaped) or XR's single rectangular large battery will make the battery degrade faster?
 
iphone 8 on ios 12.1 and 96%. 2 months old... i think is easy to figured out why ... compared with my last iphone 7, witch got 81 % after 2 years of usage .. doing the math, almost with aprox 50 % less degradation in time.

i noticed that iphone 8 is charging ( using cable ) way faster than 7... could be that the reason the battery is “ageing” faster?

My exactly one year old iPhone X was down to 85% on 326 charge cycles, used wireless charing all year. Went into a Apple Service center, and replaced the battery for 29$
 
Update: changing Battery didnt fix the problem said the Servicecenter, and they ordered a new iPhone X
