Coconut battery is very inaccurate. I found it out because the battery check at apple gave a total different number.
it's apple's check that's inaccurate. Hard to believe, but coconut battery reports the exact information that the system uses - "health" as apple reports it is basically a BS number pulled from thin air that vaguely correlates with the cycle count - having nothing to do with the actual battery capacity in Mah of the cell itself.

I don’t mean the health app. I mean the diagnostics tool Apple performs if you plan e.g. to replace the battery.

Right, who is really to say that it's accurate all the time? It's what they ultimately go by, but that in itself doesn't necessarily mean that it's always right.

I have a launch day X and am still at 100% per the app and the ios battery app. I am not a heavy user and only 180 cycles on the battery.

how do you do it. You have to watch the phone like a hawk to make sure it never goes above 80%. I’ve tried it and failed all the time.
basically i keep a charger on my work desk, my car and home, and i'm not a heavy user.

So when im at work during the day i have the ability to charge it. you don't have to be religious about it but i use it sparingly during the day and let it drain down to like ~70%. When I reach that I then charge it for like 20 mins until it reaches 80-85% then unplug. This doesn't take much effort for me as the wire is literally right next to where i keep my phone anyway.

then by the end of the work day i'm usually at around 70% again then i go home and plug my phone on CarPlay. By the time im home its usually at 80% again. Then i keep it unplugged until bedtime at which point it would be at like ~65%.

Weekends are harder as im usually out and about but im not a heavy user so its actually hard for me to ever get down to the 40% level during the day.
