why doesn’t my glass for iPhone X cover the rest of the edge ?

I don’t want to scratch my display.

If your talking about a screen protector, yours obviously is a case friendly non e2e version. Nothing defective about it, that's how it's designed.

It won’t scratch the edge of my display right I got this at Ross dress for less for 6 dollars and goes for 20 bucks on there manufacturer website of the glass on there site

Do you own an iPhone X do all glass protector do the same
Very few are full edge to edge protection. Relentless is right. That area is so small, I don't think there is anything to worry about. I have a iPhone X with a glass protector that isn't edge to edge and my phone still looks brand new.

You have the same gap as mine ?

I had one installed on my X but, I eventually removed it because I preferred the screen without one. Mine looked exactly like yours. With a case on, the gap was barely noticeable.
Oh ok

Mine has the same gap. It's annoying but that's life with a screen protector.
I purchased edged glass from 5 below but I will install that when mine cracks
