That is what I notice but others online keep saying theres never gets warm at all?? Anyone else here??

This happens to me all the time! Mine warms up after 30 mins of light use.
I've never had any problems until last week where I was using Google Maps during a 10-hour drive and it thermal-throttled like crazy. (It was plugged in at the same time though and it was a hot day so understandable)

One of the reason why i switched to the 8+. I used the X to tether to my nav phone in my car and when i also use the x in tether mode it would get so freaking hard that the screen would dim up to 50% lower brighness (i know is ios safety). Now with the 8+ doing the same thing, it doesnt get warm. Will wait for the Xplus a few weeks, ask question and read comment before deciding if i will buying it.

It's so annoying when it dims the brightness as you literally can't see anything. My 7+, though slower, would never do this.
I normally use CarPlay so I actually never experienced it until I rented a car with no CarPlay.

My phone gets quite warm when using carplay lol.

Anyone else experiencing easy heat up like us?

Mine gets quite hot when I use Portrait Mode to take photos, otherwise it doesn't get any hotter than expected. The bigger problem I have is that the screen becomes unresponsive to touch, which is becoming more and more frequent now and more and more annoying!
