Hi Guys.

I don't know about you, but if this phone comes out as predicted, good luck getting a spot in line before me.

Anyone else major hyped about this possible phone?

I'm all in for this iPhone. The biggest display to date in an iPhone.

I physically can’t use iPhone X due to the PWM so I’m strongly hoping that the Plus model gets rid of it. More than any other iPhone in recent years I really can’t wait to see the X Plus.

I share your enthusiasm. iPhone X Plus could build off of iPhone X to be an absolutely incredible phone:

- Higher screen-to-body ratio making the notch less intrusive.

- Higher PPI which should help the display pop even more. OLED’s by nature have more space between pixels so iPhone X’s resolution doesn’t make it perfectly retina-grade sharp IMO.

I also think the larger size will be better as I find iPhone X doesn’t have enough room to grip for holding the phone in landscape. Could open the door for true multi-tasking as well. Can have a YouTube video running at the top or bottom of the display and still have more screen real estate for content than the 5.5” Plus display.

The two phones I look forward to seeing in 2018 if they are true, will be the iPhone SE 2 an iPhone 6.5 X Plus. More specifically, I think the iPhone 6.5 will be a highly interesting device given it will have a larger display, but I’m curious to see what features Apple will include to entice their customers to want to make that purchase for a more expensive, larger iPhone. Especially given the current price where the iPhone X started. But I still think 2018 will be a bigger year for the iPhone, especially now that they’re expanding iPhone X lineup.

I will buy this device on spot, I'm using iPhone X at the time, the display is a bit cramped compared to my iPhone 8Plus.

Notch and removal of headphone jack is an issue for me but no choice left,

What you think about price??

My guess it will be $100 more than X

Most likely the 5.8” iPhone will remain at $999 and X Plus will start at $1099. Maybe $1149 but I would hope that comes with a bump in storage to 128GB. Only other possibility I can see is Apple reducing the price of the 5.8” iPhone to $899 and selling the X Plus at $999.

I don't think Apple will reduce prices??
My guess is that Apple will discount iPhone X at $899
The 2018 lineup will go this way :-

iPhone 8/8 discontinued and replaced by iPhone 6.1 LCD at :- $749

iPhone X (current one) : $899
iPhone X (send gen) : $999
iPhone X Plus: $1099

Apple is discontinuing iPhone X production so that they don’t have to sell it at reduced pricing.

I’d say it depends on the data they collected for iPhone X and the cost to manufacture its successor. $999 was a test for the market, it’s yet to be seen whether Apple met its targets.

I think you are right on the money. $100-$150 more than the X

I don't understand this at all?

Why would they discontinue iPhone X ? When they can sell it at $100 less than the new one?

They will have three new phones with the iPhone X design: 6.1” LCD, 5.8” OLED, and 6.5” OLED. So no need to keep the iPhone X in the lineup.

Also, iPhone X was a test. Let’s see how that test plays into their lineup this year.

It has been like that in the past.
Four iPhones with same design on sales :iPhone 6/6S/7/8

Same goes for X/X2/X Plus

You mean it's a beta product sold for testing purpose??

I like the size of my iPhone X but certainly will get the bigger model. Be interesting what features it will add and wonder if using multitasking spilt screen will work on the bigger model. Be a nice feature to taker advantage of the bigger screen.

They did the same thing when the Series 3 Watch came out - kept the Series 1, dropped the Series 2 like a brick...

I bought the iPhone 8+ with after a year upgrade, if the new iPhone X+ will be also 16:9 I will do if not I keep the 8+ and buy few of it more.
