Interesting. I hope Apple didn't leave out something like you only get the extra internal memory with the 512GB unit. As of right now, I can't wait for the larger screen iPhoneXsMax vs my iPhoneX. I'll get the 256GB unit as I still have 100GB free. And I know with the upgrade program, Apple (of cellular company) has me coming back again next year.
Btw, between iPhoneX and the new Xs models, was anything improved as far as hardware for the camera? It's still a 12MP camera, and still no slo-mo faster than the 240fps@1080p? Doesn't android models 960fps@720?

They mentioned the sensor was bigger. That's more important than increases in megapixels imo.
I didn't hear them mention a slower slow mode, but I'm not sure I've ever used the function on my current iPhone.

Both these iPhones are amazing but I think they could use a price cut. iPhone X is better compare to all 3 new iPhones considering the price and features both at same time. You can check this for detailed side by side comparison for iPhone XS vs iPhone XS Max When compared, I could say that iPhone XS is better option.
I had £700 left to pay on my X so I paid it off and started. New contract for the Max. I’m selling my phone to mazuma for £560. So in the end it cost £140 plus the upfront cost of the max £40. Not bad at all.
There's a lot that chart misses in just listing pure specs, for example between XS and X: Larger camera sensor for much improved dark light photos, higher speed video recording, background NFC, faster Face ID for example.
Add in more memory, slightly faster, much faster GPU/Metal, bigger display, slightly more battery time, dual SIM, all US bands on 1 phone vs. 2, and there is going to be a list of advantages that really appeal to a lot of people vs. the price difference when comparing these two phones.
I agree that features like dual SIM, faster processor and improved battery time are added advantages in new iPhones. However, considering the other recognized brand's smartphone features and prices and Apple's new iPhones prices, Apple could use a price cut formula.
In terms of pricing, Apple never really cared about what other companies do.
