Bitter response? If it does seem that way it’s cause someone si calling me a liar and misquoting what I actually said.Pretty bitter response just because it turns out this feature has been built into android cameras for years.
Plain and simple.

Well if you cannot recall back in 2019 then it does matter to the topic at hand. It means you cannot unequivocally stand by your statement that it comes as part of your phone out the box. Funny no other android user of galaxy’s is backing you up.Sorry - I meant I don't remember if it had the feature in 2019. I know for a fact I didn't download any different app for it to work; it's part of the Samsung system apps. I know it's not a 3rd party app. I just don't know if the built in apps that make it work now worked that way in 2019.
And it doesn't really matter. My 2019 Android can do the thing the ignorant person in your OP thought her newer Samsung couldn't do. Both companies need to advertise the feature they both have better. The issue is probably just that people don't know all the stuff their phones can do (as evidenced by your many coworkers saying they didn't know iOS could do what it can). My example shows that Android users are likewise probably just similarly ignorant.
iOS isn't better. Most people just don't know what their phones can do - whether iSheep or Samdung users!![]()
Never said it was did I?My post wasn't about docuscan.![]()

Buddy: look up the ops name in the thread, you’d know the first poster. It is NOT me. Again you’re misquoting me for someone else. At least get your facts together.
You don’t even know who’s said what in this thread and there is history for you to even see but you want us to believe by what you don’t know back in 2019 if said feature you’re arguing was part of Galaxy out the box or not was there or needed an action? Lol.
Yes however that's a third party app that not a lot of people might know about, versus the scanner on iOS that is built right into the OS so everyone has it
To me that feels more like having your decision made for you like a lot of Android OEM’s do.
Having a number of third party options is always a good thing IMO.

I think it would be pretty cool if when you go to an App Store and search for “scanner” or other function there is also a “did you know your device has this built in? Here is where …”
Going by your post no one knew the scanner function was built in to the notes app so what's the difference?

Which of course, would result in much screaming how greedy Apple is being so unfair ...
These android fanboys wont understand. Tell them againAnd they say Apple doesn’t innovate![]()
Tell us again that Apple has a feature our Samsung phones have had for many years? I'm confused. These android fanboys wont understand. Tell them again

No one besides Xiaomi, Samsung, Motorola, and a few other companies have innovated in the smartphone world for years beyond making folding phones. Apple hasn't innovated for a while in the smartphone field. The most notable innovation from Apple in the last half decade is adding emergency satellite functionality to the newer iPhone Pro, but that's still fairly minor. The bigger impact will be that it'll push other phones to have the same tech. But it's not something that changes most people's daily lives.
I don't think folding features are great, but they're not being dumped in the next generation of Android phone. More manufacturers are catching on and it may be a niche section, but it's still the most innovation we've seen in the smartphone space. That was the only innovation I mentioned Androids have had, and it's neither gimmicky nor has it been dumped and we're on like 4 or 5 generations of foldables, so you're just empirically wrong.Gimmicky Android features that are rarely used and will probably get dumped in the next generation Android phone =/= innovation lol
Wait – how do you do this??One feature I feel is pretty hidden is the ability to instantly transform hand drawn scribbles into perfect shapes while drawing on screenshots.
If you keep holding down for a second when you finish drawing something (such as an arrow, square or circle etc.) it will change.Wait – how do you do this??
(I loathe the markup functionality in iOS Photos, btw… it’s so hard to use. Sometimes I use the Google Photos app instead, just for that purpose.)
You mad because your android overheated when typing that paragraph?Tell us again that Apple has a feature our Samsung phones have had for many years? I'm confused.
