you're a genius!

I wish. I just learned that account information is inputted under a prefpane in Settings (which is what that bundle is) but I'm still getting a "bus error" when running the actual Mail application. There has to be something missing. I've still not seen Mail working, only screenshots of the preferences.

Alright! I've really got it working this time!

Here's what it took: The Mail application that was included with the iPhoneApps rar file was the problem. I found the entire 1.1.1 iPhone filesystem and copied it over from that. Next I ran the following commands in an SSH connection:
Code:
chmod -Rf +x /Applications/
chmod -R a+x /Applications/*

Private message me and I'll give you a hand.

Ebel, think you are right ref the version - i downloaded my apps ages ago when I found them, so that little download made me a happy man this evening...although now in bother with my wife as I aint done none of the jobs I promised to do,,,,,still at least tomorrow I can show all the oldies with plain ipod touches what this thing is capable of!!

I was just thinking, "I bet I copied the wrong damn version of Mail". Looks like that did the trick dude. Awesome!

Receiving, but seem to be having some issues sending mail though.<--UMMM no, sending fine. haha badass!

What's funny is I probably had the right version on there several times, but I needed to change the permissions. Instead I just kept swapping them and trying different things.

Oddly, I cannot send... I can receive my mails but whenever I press reply it crashes back? It works for you?!

Hey Guys

Anyone wanna pm me with some help on finding the iphone calendar app?
Sent you a PM for both your questions.

Seems to work fine for me, just sent one. Try copying it over again, running CHMOD's posted above, and rebooting I suppose.

Are you running on PPC or Intel? Can you post the output?

Sorry but this is my first time with command line

I have copied both mobilemail.app and the bundle to the correct location

I think I may be doing the chmod incorrectly

Should terminal show something, like a confirmation?

And am i supposed to run each line separately?

If you CHMOD correctly and it doesn't return sort of error or confirmation, it worked. Just to confirm, you're running the CHMOD's from within an SSH session, correct?
